Draft Status After Early Games...

Jerry looked po'd that we won.

He looked pensive and particularly leaned forward to make sure Buehler wouldn't blow the extra point. Stephen was all smiles which if JJ wanted the loss SJ wouldn't have been smiling. Don't read too much into it.

We came into the game with the #7 pick. As of right now, we're tied with Seattle, Tennessee, Washington, and Minnesota for the #8 pick. We did lose to Minny and Tenn, so we got the tie-breaker over them. So, we'll be picking between #8 - #10.

I don't think that that is the way it works, it's based upon SOS.

You already are.

seriously?
practice squad players?
there may have been an abundance of second and third stringers but last time i looked, the eagles draft very well and identify the type of player that suits their system
those scrubs were playing their ***** off and i saw talent out there
give them some credit

I didn't see any talent at CB, and no one saw any talent on their OL...that OT that Ware kept beating was far worse than Barron...the guy was wearing cement overshoes...it was painful to watch those replays...he couldn't get his feet to move at all.

I don't wish bad things upon people...

But man I hope Patrick Peterson gets busted with reefer or some low-class non-violent infraction that will affect his draft stock just enough for him to be a Cowboy.

I will give them credit... they took it to us big time. They came out with players that they picked up from other teams practice squads. Look it up.
That was a joke.

Most of the guys on that field playing for the eagles will never amount to anything in the NFL. I know it sucks to admit. But its the reality. We should have ran over them with the talent we had on the field.

If you are OK with the eagles 2nd and 3rd stringers only being 1 point worse than our starters than thats on you man. I wont be happy with such poor production from the talent we have on this team.

Why do people continue to emphasize the talent we have...we are not a talented team! Having a few superstars does not make you a talented team. Both of our lines are dreadful...that's a huge part of the game. Other than DWare, how many players on our defense could start for the playoff teams?

If Kitna had played, maybe we had a chance of blowing them out, but not with McGee playing like that.

On the nosey.

Rumors get started all the time pre pressure draft.

we are not going to blow up any one with this o-line and secondary.any QB will have a field day against this defense. Everybody agrees that big time changes have to made in those groups going forward.

The secondary hasn't played well this year, but I contend our DL is a much more serious issue than our secondary. Other than Ratliff, I expect all new starters on the DL next year, and Rat may find himself at DE.

If the front 3 don't push that pocket and occasionally win some 1-1 battles during the game with the other team passing 35-40 times a game, then Ware is all we have, and he'll be handled most of the time, no matter how hard he works. Even in a 3-4, you have to get a little from those 3 guys during every game...you have to get pressure with 4 guys now and then. The other OLB, Spencer, is only supposed to blitz now and then and often when you drop Ware off in coverage for a surprise. If you bring both OLBs even half the time, your defense is in trouble.

It's a lot more of a stretch to think the owner of a team wanted them to lose. Don't forget Jerry has a fan base to please (and particularly with his planned hiring of Garrett) and most of them aren't worried about a few draft spots.
