FWIW-Tony Romo is our QB of the future.

Frankly, our OL isn't THAT bad. What can you do when you have a vet QB that has so many bad habits?

Blame Jerry-IF he got Delhomme or Plummer in 03, we would be alot different now.

Delhomme throws the bone head passes just like Drew. Plummer was a bone head QB as well. He happens to have a powerful running game that allows him to pass with minimal pressure. Also, he can get out of the way of a rush as opposed to our two last QB's.

Hostile,

Don't forget the 10 points or so off the 2 picks that Manning threw. Bledsoe is not gonna be an all pro, but damn if our line does not get better, there is no quarterback in the NFL that can be successful behind them.

Getting sacked and throwing incomplete passes may be the fault of the line. Fumbling and throwing interceptions is the fault of the QB.

Bledsoe is head over hills for Terry Glenn... that's a daym shame...
:laugh2: It's 'head over heels'. (Or over the hill, but you're mixing metaphors, regardless.)

Does Bledsoe force too many throws Glenn's way?

I'd have to agree. Tho it's a timing issue more than a forcing one, perhaps.

Both QBs had 2 INTs, but one of them had 4 turnovers.

I'm not removing blame from the OL, but I'm not going to exonerate Bledsoe either. He did NOT outplay Eli Manning by any wild stretch of the imagination.

For the last week I've maintained that QB rating is the most useless individual stat there is. The reason is simple, it does not quantify everything a QB is doing. Sacks are not factored in. Fumbles are not factored in. That is just 2 things.

Bledsoe will have a higher QB rating for this game because of a TD pass of 7 yards to Glenn. 4 sacks and 2 fumbles are completely ignored in his rating.

Though he will ignore answering me for fear of getting yest another schooling, Big Neil will base his entire statement on QB rating as evidence Bledsoe played better.

No friggin way.

Bledsoe has never played well when he has been knocked down and roughed up early in a game. The Giants knew this. From the first play, they brought pressure (mostly with their front four) our offensive line couldn't handle. The poor performance by Bledsoe then followed the script. We need to improve the offensive line play if we want to go anywhere though.

Nevertheless, I was pleased with the way our defense played and kept us in the game until the end.

Drew Bledsoe fold up like a cheap suit over the second half of a season?

Why do we never have Bledsoe in the shotbug? This will give him more time to find some receivers.

if we only had our QB of the future like the Giants do instead we are stuck with Bledsoe and still are looking for that QB. We are screwed until we find our QB of the future

LOL!

Unfortunately I am.

Not that it was that gutsy of a prediction. I've watched this guy and his lousy habits for years now. Like I said before the season started. He's an upgrade over Vinny... but he isn't good enough to be leading our Dallas Cowboys.

LOL Big understatement my friend

While I will agree we are very limited due to the O-line and like I said we could have helped Bledsoe with some first down passes...Bledsoe is not playing very well and has not for awhile

against Philly...yuck
against Detroit...yuck
against Denver... yuck
against NYG...again Yuck

and again when Bill first came here our Offense was leading the league after 4 games with Q before it all went down hill

than we were in the top 8 I think for like 6-7 weeks with Testy before it all went down hill

now again we went like 7-8 weeks doing well before it all went down hill

I mean injures play apart of it but we must be incredibly thin to not be able to sustain one injury that being Flo on offense...

****game thoughts*****

I really think I am gonna enjoy watch Rob play down the road all though he had some rough spots today he handled 3 line stunts very well while Rivera wiffed on one....once he gets an off season in he is gonna be a monster...We ran the ball much better with Gurode in there but he made two brain dead plays one that caused a td for the giants...

Shanle makes me crazy he seems to always wait for the play to come to him and than absorbs the blow instead of delivering it...he could have decked Jacobs on the goalline run instead he waited for Jacobs to come to him and of course that was too late...Keith Davis I seen more of him this game on defense than in any other game but he still is running a tick behind all the others but it looks like he may finally be seeing some light...Ware had a very solid game I thought...not great or even good but close ...still, it was solid which is better than the last 3 games...

Sadly this is not a SB caliber team we still have about 5 holes...but if we can fill those 5 we will not be stopped next year:)
Prior to Drew Bledsoe ever being released by the Bills I posted a thread wanting him as a backup.

I still wish Parcells had gone with one of the young QBs. I have my preference or theory about who will be better in the long run. That doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

I've been 100% behind Bledsoe and I will continue to be behind him. But I'm not going to pretend he's having a career resurrection. I simply want better QB play.

If that makes me a bad person, then I'm a bad person.

(Not meaning you think that Zax :wink2: )

E. Manning 12/31 (38.7%) 0 TD 2 INT 152 Yd Rating: 27
D. Bledsoe 15/39 (38.5%) 1 TD 2 INT 146 Yd Rating: 37

Note that Manning was at home, with a 17 point lead handed to him, and with good protection. Manning's season completion percentage is now around 50%. Drew is still near 62%.

Geez, you just don't get it.

Who gives a flying fig about completion percentage?

Wins, and ONLY wins matter.

If you polled NFL GMs, Head Coaches, Offensive Coordinators, and Personnel Directors over who they would rather have, Eli Manning or Drew Bledsoe, it would be a landslide Eli vote.

Because of his youth and potential to get even better.

Exactly. Drew played horrible no doubt, but I think it was because he was being hammered on just about every play. I think he gets dizzy or something. That was some of the worst O-Line blocking ever though. When there is no run blocking, and that poor protection, you'll always have a lot of turnovers, especially with Drew. I don't think this team is playoff caliber since Flozell went down.

Only because he's young and a Manning, not based on this seasons performance.

You responded to a post about QB of the future.

Now we need to subtract Eli's surname and age?

It doesn't work that way sparky.
