Henson signs with Vikings


Todd Archer just called in to say that former Cowboy Drew Henson has signed with the Vikings. Henson had worked out the with Dolphins on Tuesday.

Good for Drew. I'm happy for him.

But the Vikes, just this year, drafted a QB, Tarvaris Jackson, in the 2nd Round.

Best of luck to Henson, hope he does well. Wonder how long the deal is, becuase obiously Brad Johnson won't be there too much longer, so he might get a shot if he's signed more than just this season.

They needed a third QB with Tarvaris Jackson suffering a knee injury.

That is about all it is. They already have a backup in Brooks Bollinger.

No prob, Brain. I saw Jackson play in the preseason.

I just think Drew has a better shot getting a starting job in Minnesota than he does elsewhere. If he shows the talent, I think he can beat out Jackson.
