There’s some truth to this though it’s worth nothing the man who threw more than anyone in Sam Howell only had 29 drops.
If that is true, then he is a pretty good qb.
he played on a crappy team, and threw more than other teams, with 29 drops then that is impressive.
Funny thing is wash kicked him out the door lol I forget which team grabbed him anyone know?
I liked him in the few games I saw him play.

Every stat should be broken down in % as it reflects a more accurate picture.
Lamb had 185 targets, which with plain stat makes him look good, but if you broke it down to % it might tell a different story.

Thats why I dont care much for stats anymore the nfl just gives plain stats which are flawed some more than others.

Is this a serious thread or just to bait people in the endless Dak back and forth?

Anywho, the Cowboys had 4 guys with 5 or more drops last year
CDL: 6 drops on 135 catches/181 targets
Pollard: 6 drops on 55 catches/67 targets
Ferguson: 5 drops on 71 catches/102 targets
Gallup: 5 drops on 34 catches/57 targets

Remaining guys like Cooks, Turpin, Schoonmaker and Dowdle had 3 each.
Hendershot/Tolbert/McKeon had 2, 1 & 1 respectively.
At least, you can't pin the drops on 1 guy. It was a collective effort.

He went to Seatttle. They got rid of him he was careless but ultimately they got the 2nd pick and couldn’t justify not taking a qb but I would’ve gave him another shot.

Eli for sure should…not first ballot but he has the resume. His major drawback is he has so many lukewarm to bad seasons….
He averaged in the bottom half of the league for his career. Any HOF that has a player like that enshrined has no credibility.

He has two SBs. That more than makes up for crappy regular season play.

It’s funny lol you guys one minute say regular season means nothing but in the next want to overvalue it.

Yep....still led the league in TDs and completed passes.
At some point, his critics are going to realize he is a dam good QB. Just need to shake the post-season slump and I think he will. Maybe not here but he will.
Most likely the same people that thought Romo sucked.

Wow. Gallup had roughly 10% drop rate. Dude, that’s bad.

Chiefs threw the ball more than Dallas.
I’d be real curious to see what KC’s drop rate was after they benched Toney or Koney, or whatever his name is. The former Giant WR. That dude couldn’t catch a cold in December.

Toney's drop rate was 13.2%
Wow, I thought it would be higher. He definitely had some key drops that shifted momentum for his team. Kind of sobering to find out Gallup was in the same ballpark as far as drops go.

I am sure this is Dak's fault somehow
Depends some on what is considered by those who put together these numbers as a dropped pass. I've seen receivers get one hand on a ball and it be called a drop.

That is a hard graphic to stare at. Kansas City's receiving corps was criticized all season long. *I think* Patrick Mahomes' most dependable receiver was Travis Kelcie.

The Chiefs are sitting at the top with the most dropped passes. Dallas' receivers dropped six less passes.

Kansas City went all the way last season. Dallas stumbled into and out of its own stadium in the wild card round.

Dropped passes alone do not provide an obstacle for success.

Life can be so unfair at times. :(

Yes we have to factor in the complete organization.

Who has the better offensive line? KC
Who had a better running game? KC
Who have a better defense line? KC
Who have a better coaching staff? KC
Who has a better GM and front office? KC
Who has better play calling? KC
Who can stop the run better? KC

So saying "well they had more drops and still won the Superbowl" is extremely lazy. Factor in what else helped them overcome all the drop passes to still remain successful. Oh yeah, having the best quarterback and tight end in football didn't hurt either.

One guy has a qb rating of a 97….one has a 85….i think McNabb was underrated but I mean you conveniently left that off for a reason also helps one guy played 11 more games than the other so when you just list totals kind of hard to gauge guys that way.
Okay, but for the second time, you haven't answered my question. Here's Try #3. If you think Romo with more postseason success without a Super Bowl gets in the Hall, why isn't McNabb in WITH more success without a Super Bowl?

Are you saying QB Rating is the issue? McNabb has a good deal more starts than Romo, not just games if you add the QB Records up.
