Duke on what Guyton needs to do to improve

How about putting him back to his right position at RT, where he excelled in college for 3 years, instead of forcing him into LT? It might get your QB killed. Just some food for thought!

Watt was blowing by Steele pretty consistently . It’s interesting in Dallas your best OL are the guards . LT at least is considered a premium position as it’s the blindside protection for most QB’s , Having spent a 1 on Guyton I’m all for putting him back out there , he’s not going to get better by watching .

Although the Tyler LT Guyton RT argument makes sense use Steele as depth .

The line was better without him

I think Guyton needs to get stronger. But I am used to seeing Tyron Smith his his strong arms to stone pass rushers. Still when I see guys cut inside on Guyton and he doesn't have the strength in his arms to hold them up I makes me thing he could use some more arm strength.

Uhhhhhhh, switching him to RTt would take all of 3 seconds. He simply isn’t a LT.
Impressive you can tell that 4 1/2 games into the career of a 23 year old who was known to be a project before he was even drafted...

Look at Tyler Smith’s #’s after his first few games. It was not great.

Guyton will be fine, needs more reps and another year in the gym will help.

He is going to be much better later in the season when he plays against lesser passrushers.

It really has been a gauntlet for any OT, let alone a rookie.
Ya pretty much any elite rusher you can imagine. Even sub elite guys like Van Oy are very good and a difficult assignment for a rookie because he is such a good technician.

Guyton needs to work like mad on the weights and do all he can to improve his overall body strength.
It'll take time and plenty of it, though. We'd best be very patient. It might take a year, or more.
