Dumb play-calling on our last series cost us the game

I've said all along, coaching is going to kill us.
If we're doing this against the Jags, imagine what's going to happen in the playoffs - if we make it.
Our play calling at the end of the game and in overtime was horrendous.
As long as we have an offensive coordinator learning on the job, we're screwed.
He's not learning is the problem. Keeps making the same blunders.

It was so obvious what the right thing to do was.

And why throw a low-probability bomb down the sideline?

Stupid.

He didn't call a bomb, I'm certain they told Dak not to take any chances and go down if he didn't have anyone open. It's on Dak not Moore.

In your lifetime, maybe...not in mine...I was around for all of their Superbowls...it was glorious!!
Same here. As a fan of this team I'm just numb to this anymore. The law of averages with some of the teams we've had over the years should have broke our way. It just seems like something has cursed us for 25+ years now.

That call was so idiotic that I started laughing in desperation after the play.

And somehow Kellen Moore will be treated by the media as some hot commodity for a HC job somewhere. It's bizarre.
Please. But I doubt any team takes him. He's terrible at game Management

Yup. They would've had no timeouts and the pressure would've been on them some more. If Kellen Moore is still our playcaller after today we might as well just look forward to 23.

1st down they line up in shotgun - it's an obvious run. The play gets blown up and they are now behind the chains at 2nd and 13. That pretty much ruined it so at that point, you cut your losses and just run it two more times to force them to use their timeouts.

It's just basic football game management but McCarthy/Kellen/Dak are not smart enough to understand it.

We should have run the ball on 3rd and 10 with less than 2 minutes left.

Instead we attempt a deep throw down the sidelines which was incomplete, saving the Jags final timeout.

They needed that timeout to force overtime.

We deserve to lose with dumb decisions like that.

Choking away a 17-point 2nd half lead is painful.
Yep, that was the game.

This is where the blame should absolutely go. The series after the Lawrence fumble was horrendous. Playcalling just stupid.
I KNEW we were going to lose when we gave it back to the kid. Give me Lawrence over Suk every day of the week and twice on Sunday. TEN PICKS since week 8 - not all his fault but EIGHT are - just pathetic.

That and the plays he draws up. Look at the stats. Dak has to throw threw tight windows weakly. For more being a QB in a high powered Boise offense you would think he would understand passing concepts. Often times it looks like the defense knows what's coming. This is Jason Garrett offense with little wrinkles in it.

The third down call was one for the ages. Joseph also was an embarrassment. Lastly I am sick of Lawrence. That guy is a ghost.

Lawrence sucked today and has been inconsistent all season. Not sure what game you watched?

I hope they do prop him up. Please, someone offer him a head coach job enticing enough for him to take it. That's the only way we're going to get rid of him.
P.S. Has someone requested a DNA test on Kellen? He's got to be related to Jerry someway, somehow.

One of McCarthy's MOs in Green Bay was peculiar clock management/end of game situations.

We've had examples of this in the past with him in Dallas and today was another.

If you are gonna throw, at least make it a safer, higher success rate kind of pass. A deep ball? LOL.
I would guess the deep pass wasn’t the first option
I get the conservative approach but a first down ends the game too

Why throw the ball deep there? Why not run, or throw a slant play might get lucky and get the first. Oh, why throw it if the play isn't there?

This whole organization sucks. They just keep doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Let's build up on the offensive side of the ball, play a one gap system on the defensive side of the ball, and hope that works out.

Hello, the one gap system does not guarantee you're going to get to the quarterback, but it does guarantee you're going to get your butts kicked on the ground.

Hello, Dak is a great bus driver, but a bus driver should never be allowed to carry the team. We should run the ball 34 times a game no matter what.

Hello, your office coordinator I always seems to drop the ball at the wrong moments in the game. Right before the interception in the third quarter, I was thinking we need to start running misdirection plays in the backfield. But nope let's run the same running plays we've been running the entire game.

Those are all the same issues we've had ever since the Romo days. So we've had the same issues for 13 years now. So let's keep going the same thing and hoping for different results. I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...is not a good strategy.
