Can we quit bringing in Quinn’s former players that were part of a Super Bowl team that blew a 25 point lead…

We should have run the ball on 3rd and 10 with less than 2 minutes left.

Instead we attempt a deep throw down the sidelines which was incomplete, saving the Jags final timeout.

They needed that timeout to force overtime.

We deserve to lose with dumb decisions like that.

Choking away a 17-point 2nd half lead is painful.
Totally agree. Once overtime started, I told my wife we would lose due to a turnover and Jags FG. Little did I know, Dak refuses to be outdone. It Fked it up all by himself.

If anyone told me the Cowboys would score 34 today, I would never have thought loss. The play calling was not the problem today.

or at least thrown in in the field of play so the clock keeps running and they have to call a timeout.

Kellen Moore is ridiculous. Think about the play before that - I would have designed that in the 4th grade with Bo Jackson from Tecmo Bowl in mind.

THIS!! I literally turned to my wife and said “if they do something stupid here and pass instead of burning the timeout I will lose my mind” and they ran….a FADE?!?

If Moore called that he should be fired, but Mike should be fired for not getting on comms and saying, ‘run it here and burn their TO’, and I swear if it was a called run and Dak audibled….

That pass call on 3rd & 10 late in the 4th sure was a huge problem. You can't have coaches being that stupid in that game situation. Don't belong in the NFL making stupid calls like that.

It's not just inconsistent playcalling, it's execution as well.

But the defense let the team down today.

The supposedly monster pass rush is once again easily thwarted by a QB that gets rid of the ball quick. It'll happen again vs PHI.

I thought the whole series was dumb. I would have run a short passing game not do what the D expects

I think it was Woody Hayes that said "three things happen on a pass play and two of them are negative."

If the shoe was on the other foot I would have guaranteed Jacksonville would have run the ball or attempted a safe pass. It wouldn't have been a bomb.

I would have passed 10/10 times as opposed to gifting the jags the ball with a chance to tie the game. It was a no brainer call.

yeah, we got beat by a 2 year qb with a patch work offensive line, but we're super bowl contenders. shrugs yep. jerry, *laughing at you*

Sure you would. You are only saying that because you are mad at me.

We both know you would have ran it there. It would be stupid not to.

Passing the ball was the right play. I said it right before the call and I say it again now. I’m not just going to gift the jags the ball with over a minute to go only needing a fg. I’m going to make them earn it and they did. Brown makes a simple catch and we still in position to win.

I will say that if you are going to pass it on that play, it needs to be something with a high percentage of being completed like a screen. The clock needed to run. Don't leave them with a timeout.

I don't mind the call to pass on 3rd down since Jax is expecting us to run the ball. You may catch them off guard.

BUT..... both coach and Dak need to understand that you MUST EITHER complete a SURE pass to keep clock running or get first down. Dak needs to understand game situation......ie. he CAN TAKE A SACK and keep the clock running.

Key is to make JAX use that last time out no matter what you do which obviously our coaches and Dak didn't understand.

Always the play calling, always the OC or the offense. Bottom line is the defense took the day off again.

That call was so idiotic that I started laughing in desperation after the play.

And somehow Kellen Moore will be treated by the media as some hot commodity for a HC job somewhere. It's bizarre.

So Moore is the bad guy and Quinn isnt?

Why is it us non-professionals can see the obvious, but these dumbo million dollar+ paid coaches can’t? That stupid call for a bomb on 3rd down completely screwed over a great play by whoever stripped the Jags QB and the recovery by Micah which should’ve won the game. Just so effn idiotic.

People moving the goal posts. If you want a simple pass, then I’ll counter that it is less likely to get a first down. And if you’re not trying to get a first down, then yeah, you might as well run the ball. But that’s losing mentality. I know, we lost anyway.

But I’m trying to win the game. And you don’t do that by laying down and giving them the ball back with over a minute to play only needing three.

So even after I've calmed down a touch.. still can not forgive that play call on the last reg time series. You simply HAD to force them to use the last TO.

Yes lots of moments happen in games.. yes Kearse could have taken his legs down.. Brown should have caught that last pass.. yes our D got gashed.. etc etc.

BUT it really comes down to things that are 100% IN YOUR CONTROL.. and the play call on that series was in our control. How can you possibly have an organisation that does not understand the primary assignment on that down is to keep the clock running and force JAGs to take the TO. That could have been a run play.. or a quick screen (EVEN IF we 'dropped' a quick screen - I would be less upset because it would have been an error in skill NOT play calling).. but it had to involved keeping the clock moving. I wouldn't have minded a roll out with a look long and if no one had busted coverage.. then take the sack/slide.

If Jags come onto the field with a minute left and no Time Outs.. then they have to play sidelines.. that gives your D less field to cover. by keeping that Time Out it allowed them to stop the clock.. which gave the officials time to 'review' not one but two plays.. and then also use the middle of the field to get those last 20 yards to get into FG range. If that HAD to be a sideline throw (with no time outs) then potentially they don't get into range.

There will always be skill errors in a game.. but the unforgivable things.. the truly unforgivable things for me.. are when you have something that is 100% in your full control.. and you muff it. I seriously believe that had we used their last time out.. we win this game in regulation.
