It appears that Dunbar is this year's top candidate for whipping boy.
No nothing can touch the Hayden and Heath hate.

If Dunbar makes the 53 and gets less than 500 yards, I'll consider this roster decision a big fail.

The last couple years, we've been hearing about how Dunbar will be a significant piece of the offense -- kinda like Escobar. And I then nothing much. But if they want a thumper as RB, then I think Dunbar is expendable, and Whitehead can take his place as backfield/slot receiving threat. They just don't seem interested in giving Dunbar carries. So just get a power back who will actually have a specialized role.
Hey everyone gets a turn.
Dunbar is getting heat not because of Dunbar...he is getting it because people don't feel the 1st or 2nd back have ever been much for short yardage. Neither McFadden or Randle are the types to move the pile on 3rd and short...McChicken legs just falls down by the shoelaces and Randle is a bit small....so people want Dallas to use Dunbars spot on a back who can come in and break some tackles and get the short yardage...
Now short yardage doesn't mean what McFadden has done the last 3 years with 3.3 ypc...that's some short yardage.
Gus Johnson and Malena are gone. Makes me think there's a move on the horizon.
He took a swing pass on third down and turned it into a big gainer with the score tied @ 10, the Cowboys would score to go up 17-10.
3rd and 8 at DAL 22
(2:13) (Shotgun) T.Romo pass short middle to L.Dunbar to DAL 43 for 21 yards (E.Thomas; K.Chancellor).
With Murray now gone, and no actual feature back on this team, I think this season might be the year where you finally get to see a little more of Dunbar.
That is unless McFadden or Randle just light the world on fire when they're in the game.
What blows my mind is they can't even play him in the preseason.
He's been here forever and is a complete unknown.
He gets treated with more caution than Tom Brady.
Dunbar is the greatest bench warmer in the history of cowboys has ever seen. You don't want that type of talent to get injured during a preseason game do you?
I'm not sure, first I'd have to see that type of talent - maybe in a preseason game.
This makes a lot of sense. With Murray now gone, and no actual feature back on this team, I think this season might be the year where you finally get to see a little more of Dunbar.
