They don't have any backups worth a dang. Just go with 2 and put one on the PS.

Looks like he has regressed due to his bad prep, or no prep, during the off season. What little positives he showed the Cowboys last year is worst now.

Agreed. Wasn't impressed with Showers either.

Huge Garrett fan, but our inability to develop an adequate #2 is becoming a sore spot with me.

Showers only had 4 pass attempts so I think they're going to try and pass him through waivers to the practice squad.

Vaughan played with the starting line and guys who will make the 53 on the outside and couldn't do jack **** before the half and after it. He's brutal.

Ya he's terrible to watch. They shouldn't waste anymore time on him. It's ugly when he's in the game

I was at the game last night. He's terrible. Wide open guys, easy check downs, all missed.

Time to end the experiment.

All man I thought he was doing good for what he was given but I guess not. There is a chance Buffalo might cut a qb.l

I want to see Showers play more extensively. Vaughan's had his opportunities imo.

I hate giving the Eagles credit but the QB position is too valuable to the success or failure of your team to have Weeden, Vaugh, Shower as your backups...

I wish we had a backup that would give the rest of our team a fighting chance if Romo went down. As it is now our season is completely done without Romo.

Vaughan and Showers will probably each play a half against the Texans on Thursday. Whoever wins that battle probably wins the PS spot.

Eagles system helps the QB tremendously.

You play in that offense and you automatically go up 10% in completion percentage.

We do need a backup though.. I wish we would've got Mike Vick.

Hopefully someone gets cut and we make a move.

I think Weeden needs to play the whole game IMO. The whole game! Just like when Romo played the whole game when he started. The other 2 are as good as gone IMO, and Weeden needs all the reps he can get.

With all the love for what the organization has done talent wise the development of QB's has sucked!

They are just wasting time with Vaughn. It's not like he's going to have a 180 degree turnaround over 5-6 days. He hasn't looked good all pre-season. I've seen a lot better QB play from other team's 2nd/3rd stringers who would be an obvious upgrade to Weeden/Vaughn. They will probably keep Weeden but he should be upgraded too, if Romo goes down we have no shot but as most have said, it is like that with pretty much every team as well....

Well undrafted guys like Romo are rare. You have to draft a guy with enough talent and upside. It's not an inability to develop, they just have not tried except for Stephen McGee.

This answers my question that I asked in the game thread. That is, were the receivers simply not getting open/separation or was he just not seeing the field and trusting what he was seeing. Thanks for the report.

I was hoping to see more of Showers than the two drives.....also, I wanted to see Showers as a KR, but that didn't happen.

Vaughan sucks, Showers sucks, and Weeden sucks.

Romo better not miss an important snap this year or we are in a world of hurt.
