There is something about Showers, maybe it's the way the ball jumps out of his hand or his composure in the pocket.

I wish he could play an entire half, or more.

I do like his composure in the pocket. That is why the PS is a possibility there.

I hate giving the Eagles credit but the QB position is too valuable to the success or failure of your team to have Weeden, Vaugh, Shower as your backups...

I wish we had a backup that would give the rest of our team a fighting chance if Romo went down. As it is now our season is completely done without Romo.

You would of enjoyed the days when we had both Aikman and Steve Walsh on the team. It was still the same old stuff if the starter went down the team was in big trouble just like in 2015.

I think he's played himself out of his job and Showers could easily play his way into it. Weeden is done. I'd go all in with Romo and then hit the Showers if wasn't there on the river.

Keenum the #2 gets the snaps in games. Austin Davis barely plays. Although last night they gave Mannion most of the backup snaps to see him with the better players.

I think he gets cut... Disappointed in his development.

In five starts plus one half, Davis is completing 66 percent of his passes for 1,517 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions for a passer rating of 94.3 (14th in the NFL) and a QBR of 60.9 (19th). He's alternately flashed promise (leading a comeback win against Tampa Bay and a clutch late drive to seal the victory against Seattle)

That isn't to say Davis doesn't have some upside. He brings a fiery and enthusiastic approach that his teammates appreciate, and he has an honest way about him that allows him to openly acknowledge his faults and then set about correcting them the following week.

If nothing else, Davis has proved in his handful of starts that he's deserving of at least a No. 2 job in the NFL. Beyond that, there is still plenty for Davis to prove
