I hate the Eagles like no other team on earth, I would rather beat them than go to the playoffs, but if we can kill two birds(pun here)with one game. I still remember the vet and the day they booed Irvin on the gourney, no mercy I hope we beat them baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!

Of course we have the obligatory Eagle fan upset because we're "bringing up the past". Duh!! In Pro Football and all sports in general, that's a huge part of it. You know, as in "we beat your ***". And, "you can't win a SB". A pretty big part of rivalry's and back-&-forth chatter is THE RESULTS! Every single time I remind an Eagle Phan of truthfull, factual results they come back with "you're living in the past, it's meaningless". Yeah, well the world may come to an end on Saturday and the next game might be meaningless also. It's OK to bring up the past, as in Oct. 2006 when talking about Cowboy/Eagle stuff, but they don't want to hear about the big picture, the meaningfull picture, the money picture. And when you talk about THAT, the Eagles remain a big, fat ZERO!

Maybe its just me... but I cant go along with the "I would rather beat them than go to the playoffs".... it just doesnt make sense.

I would rather lose to all the teams in our division twice and go to playoffs and win SB.

I really don't know who will win ...and neither do you! I know who I want to win ...and so do you! But it will not necessarily be the "best" team." There are so many variables that go into the win formula ...

penalties

turnovers (e.g., picKs, fumbles, by-downs, etc)

injuries

mental errors

good game versus bad games on either sied of the ball

home field advantage (debatable)

momentum of the game

If you can see beyone all that ...you're in the wrong business and you need to stop, reach deep into your pocket and pull out a dollar bill for that lottery ticket! You'll make a fortune.

In the meantime, you'd better just settle for your team has just a good a chance as winning as losing this game.

Sorry, but Philly has stored up so much bad karma throughout years, Jesus himself couldn't exorcise it. I once worked for a Philly company, and you people take the cake on negativity and bad karma.
