Why are we talking about a Carson Wentz possible trade? He was one of the worst quarterbacks in the league last season. The guy is way overpaid and is a worse quarterback then Goff. The Eagles are putting out this story to drum up interest because nobody’s taking that contract for a scrub like Wince. I hear the usual Wince lovers hoping he goes to the Colts. The word is the Colts only offered a 2nd round pick for Stafford. I can’t imagine they would offer more for Wince.

When can the Eagles get out of Carson Wentz's contract?
The Eagles, if they don't think about trading Wentz before June 1 in 2021 — the only scenario in which they see any kind of cap relief for the move — are likely locked into Wentz for one more season.

Given their cap situation, releasing Wentz is financially impossible. That move would cost the Eagles $59 mllion in dead money with a cap hit of $24.5 million. Trading him to someone would cause them to eat $33.8 million in dead money but at least get a mild cap relief of about $853,000. The trick there will be finding a partner willing to take on his adjusted lesser contract, which would be essentially for four years at $98.4 million

Yup. the guy literally says Dak needs things to be optimal but then uses that as an excuse for Wentz. Wentz threw like 4 picks last year with a clean pocket lol. Its not an excuse. Wentz has had multiple brain farts since his injury and has been one of the WORST quarterbacks in the NFL over the last year. Then again. This same person said that Kaaya and Beathard would be better than Mahomes and Watson in the pros. lol. Didnt Wentz have something like 17 turnovers in 2019? Or more?
Wentz doesn't just throw picks but fumbles an awful amount of times. Not only that he didn't even play the entire season because he was benched for a 2nd round rookie.

Dak haters throw stuff out, get proven wrong so they make up something else. I think it has something to do with personal hate that has nothing to do with football and that's sad it still goes on in 2021....if you know what I mean

do the Cowboys need to tweet "we're listening" to get offers for Dak, is that how this works? How often do teams inquire about a player when it's not really known to the public?
Yes, because anyone who does not worship at the church of Dak is automatically a fan of Carson Wentz. It must be boring in that binary world you live in.
unfortunately this extreme ideology applies to many other things in todays society.

Nice post. I read pretty much the same thing at profootballtalk. Looks like the team picking up Wentz would be on the hook for $40M guaranteed and 4 years at $98M. Basically $25M per year for Wentz with $40M guaranteed. As far as contracts go, that is really good if he can actually play and not stink up the joint. So, I think Wentz will be traded maybe pretty soon or as soon as the cap amount is announced. The Eagles would have to eat $34M in dead money for the year. But if Hurts can play decently then that is not too bad for them.

The Colts seem like the team most likely to trade for him. I don't think the Colts want to give up their 1st round pick though. It will be interesting.

Yep the logic is so off the wall crazy that one has to wonder. The dude led the league in passes downfield and they will say he dinks and dunks. Then he has one of the best td:int ratio in nfl history and they will say he throws too many picks. Mahomes has 2 all-pros in Kelce and The Cheetah and that's great but Dak having Amari means he is only good because he has good players. This stuff is just flat out bat-poop crazy.

Plus remember all the "he can't throw 200 yards a game"? Then it went to 250 yards and then 300 yards now it's just garbage time stats even though if you break it down by quarter it proves that wrong too

@CATCH17, @Risen Star, @PAPPYDOG will trade for him in a heartbeat.

Could you imagine the legendary status that Dak would ascend to if he were afforded the same standards that the Dak haters place on Wentz? Wentz is given every excuse ever invented for an NFL QB, is benched and they still think he's the second coming of Joe Montana. Dak overthrows his receiver by 6 inches once in awhile and they think he's not even a CFL back-up quality QB.

(Heartily chuckling at the assertion that Wentz is given more excuses than Dak)

It's amazing the hypocrisy of the Dak haters. And they don't even seem to realize it.

It's like captain's on a ship, they must go down with it before they admit they were wrong. Then they troll to make it seem silly. We all been wrong, better just to admit it and move on.

He could win a Super Bowl. Throw for 350 and 3 TDs and win Superbowl MVP and somehow some way they would say it wasnt him that won the game. And give credit to anyone else just to not admit they were wrong. Its hilarious.

Absolutely. It's also sad, pathetic and delusional how silly they look.
