Yeah when Pigs fly....

The Pigs(Commanders) and Egirls are toast... McNabb bails on his team again.
I heard he was complaining that he didnt get a text message from TO:rolleyes:

Flight of Icarus was doomed from the start

Wait about 2 weeks then try and find a pulse on the Eagles playoff lives. The Eagles have the toughest part of their schedule approaching, they have no running game, cant stop the run and lost their best offensive player for the season.

While I can admire your optimism given your team's current circumstances, I don't see where the Eagles can "fly" to?

If you mean flying to a better record than 2005, OK.

If you mean flying to .500, OK again.

But anything more than that is a real reach at this point.

They staggered to a 5-5 record through the easiest part of their schedule with McNabb, I can't see them doing any better through the difficult part without him.

And if you feel 8-8 is an improvement, I envy your optimism, you're a good fan.

If the Eagles can beat NYG and the Colts then they are back otherwise kiss the season good bye.The problem with the Eagles is that they are not playing as a unit and not with fire.I think they have been told u are the best team in the NFC East and they went snoozing

The eagles are irrelevant...always have been, always will be...

It was shown that last year the window of opportunity was rapidly slamming shut...and this year? Well, people can see for themselves what that team is all about...

They are old, they get outcoached, their defense stinks, and their front office is still counting all their left over salary cap money...

I have no pity for the eagles...or their "fandoms"

"Bring it..."

"Get it...."

"Get some...."

:hammock: What a life....! Yes, indeed...

There are several reasons why this Eagles fan will never give up hope on his team!

Emotional Perspective

Just for a minute, stop and forget everything you've heard about Eagle fans ...

throwing batteries inside of snowballs ...

laughing at opponent player injuries ...

booing Santa Claus ...

throwing beer on Portis' mom ...

This Eagles fan loves his team despite the odds ...I've always cared about the Eagles and always will! Yes, we do have a prayer, and I'm saying it! Because unlike the perception that many of you have, Eagles can be Just a loyal as any other NFL fandom. That said, ..."loyal" won't get you into the Playoffs ...and while that rings of truth, we'll I'm hanging in there until the fat lady flies!

Football Perspective

Again, McNabb is a leader on the team ...but no one single person on a "team" should be able to influence the direction of an entire team. We learned that in 2005 with yours truly number 81!

So last year we were plagued with injuries. This year McNabb is out, and Garcia probably going to step in. Garcia starts off better than McMahon right off the bat!

Players that can still contribute to salvage a decent year:

O-side of the Ball

Jeff Garcia (good experienced backup QB)

Brian Westbrook (pro-ball potential)

Donte Stallworth (high potential for the big play)

L.J. Smith (pro-ball potential)

Reggie Brown (good potential for the big play)

Correll Buckhalter (hungry to take his game to the next level)

Mahe (special teams ...explosive player that gets good field position)

D-Side of the Ball

Brian Dawkins (pro-bowler)

Jeremiah Trotter (pro-bowl potential)

Shawn Barber (stepping up his game)

Trent Cole (pro-bowl potential)

Darren Howard (solid Player)

Mike Patterson (solid player)

Logical Perspective

I'm hoping for a wildcard birth with some help from the Giants and possibly the Cowboys.

All I'm saying is ...the Eagles are not dead yet!

I think their window has been glued shut for years and years.

That's your problem, not ours (as in Cowboy fans)...if you want to root for that flunky team, hey, have fun! But, what are you trying to accomplish on this forum about "how loyal" you are to your team? WHO CARES? There are a few Cardinal fans...WHO CARES?

And, yeah, the eagles are dead...as in done! No amount of talk or spin from you is going to change that, and until you come back down to reality and realize that for yourself, all you are going to do is look pretty foolish...!

Can the eagles still win this year? Maybe, sure...will they?

:lmao2:

It could be glued shut, or merely locked, and the eagle front office does not know how to unlock it!

Besides, even when they had that one window open up...fat Andy could not crawl through it...because McChoke's head got stuck in it...

This is the main reason why Eagles fans suck! You want people to think you guys have some type of redeeming qualities after all the stupid acts of the fans? Please! You guys are the laughing stock of the NFL when it come to class, dignity, and sportsmanship. The Eagles are dead in the water and will now play for draft pick spots. You guys will be lucky to be .500 at the end of the year, and whatever you are smoking has to be pretty damn good to think otherwise. :lmao2:

Of the remaining 6 games, I can't imagine the Eagles losing all of those games; we play the Giants, Commanders, and the Cowboys again. I still think we have enough to beat the Commanders, and maybe tweak by the Giants, but I honestly believe that given the solid Look of the Cowboys, we'll probably end up splitting with you in the overall this year.

Down? Never!

I just hope y'all can get your act together enough to do us a favor and beat some of the NFC East contenders that we'll be competing with for Playoff Seeding.

I don't think so ...I'm showing you (as a Cowboys fan who thinks all Eagles fans have issues), that I'm sticking with my team regardless of the adversities that may currently exist.

You may be a Cowboys fan, but those Cowboy fans (or fans from any franchise) worth their weight In salt know that the true essence of a fan comes out ...not during good times, but during "hard" times!

I'm not your fly-by-Zone Eagles fan. I read and retain personalities on this and Other boards - some, I've known for years. Some fans (and you know who you are) used to whine about about Bledsoe, players dropping balls or unable to make a field Goal, so much until Parcells finally felt your tears. The point is that those type of fans (and you know who your are) ride High on the bandwagon while everything is good, but once soemthing goes wrong that type of fan (and you know who you are) starts crying, coplaining and calling their own team names!

Don't throw stones ...even if you live in a steel house!

Don't you people see? Feeding the fuel of PT's agenda. How this original post started by mentioning how good the win was over the colts,congrtas..blah..blah..blah. But here we are discussing EAGLE'S football.

Who freakin cares. They'll be in our house on Christmas, and all we have to do is take them down. Argument over.:star:

Well, this post has turned the corner and is now an Eagles propoganda rant. It therefore has no place here.

This is not the place to post your Eagles cheerleading.

Nobody believes it or wants to hear it.

Maybe they'll believe it on the Eagles board.
