I don't think the Eagles are garbage or overrated. 10-2 wins versus losses speaks for itself. They won the Super Bowl in relatively recent years as well. I don't have to like them to still keep it real about their team quality or capabilities.

That’s weird because our defense looked like absolute trash against the Seahawks.
True but the Eagles D has looked like trash for a lot longer than we have. We rolled up 400 yards on them, the Bills shredded them, the 49ers destroyed them, Washington moved the ball all over them twice this year.

Their defense is not good. It will be disappointing if this Cowboys offense struggles against them on Sunday night.

Here are the numbers:
Points allowed: 24th
Points allowed per drive: 29th
First downs allowed: 28th
3rd down defense: 32nd
Red zone defense: 29th
Take aways: 26th
Sacks: 12th
Sack percentage: 22nd

The Eagles have some very talented defensive players, but they also put bottom-tier players out there mixed in. There doesn't seem to be much in the middle. The bad players they have are really bad. Just keep the Eagles D line from the QB and watch the points roll in.

The Eagles defense has forced 33 3rd downs in the last two games. 23 of those were converted.

The offensive coordinator forgets that he has Swift to run the ball.

The defensive coordinator can make good adjustments against average teams but can't hide the lesser players from O.C.'s that know how to design plays.

We will win by 17.
The way the Dallas D looked vs Seattle, I would say they aren't much better.

Well, we should win by 20, but it is a big game. So what happens next if we don't? What if we lose?
We've had 10 days, we better show up big.
We would need the Niners or Browns defense to win by 20....

This is what happens when you pay your QB 50 mil+/season.

The Eagles lost a ton of good D players in the offseason. Including both starting S's. And their NT, Hargrave, who had 11 sacks from the NT position. And their starting MLB in TJ Edwards.

All in all, the D players they lost started 62 games last season. That is a lot. I mean, that is one hades of a lot. You just can't replace that many starters w/o some blips.

The Cowboys defense is elite.

The NFL is not built to play real defense anymore.

Dallas plays defense about as good as the rules allow.
we are not elite.

12th against the rush and haven't played any offenses that are strong running teams.
13th in YPA rushing.
pass defense is good, mostly because of pass rush, so if the pass rush stalls, pass defense suffers. we saw that against Seattle when they went to a quick passing game.
that shows up in our YAC, where defenders in the back are not in the right positions, we are 16th in YAC against defensively.
we are 26th in Hurries defensively
and 20th in QB knockdowns
but we are top 10 in sacks. so its a feast or famine.
we are 25th in TDs defensively
26th in TD%
we are 13th in yards per completion, which means teams can go deep on us. good offenses have
we are 15th in TFL, which speaks to our run defense. we don't get the run defense to the backfield often

cleveland is elite. ravens are elite. we are good, not elite.

the cap can be manipulated. they lost a lot of players, but most were rather older too. as Bilicheck says, let them go a year early, than a year later.

I think their offense is a great defense for them. They are able to run the ball, kill clock. I am really looking forward to Dallas whipping this team.

Zero to do with Hurts’ contract which carries very low cap hits for the next 3 years.

Slay and Bradberry look like they got real old, real quick
LB position has been decimated with injuries. The guys they do have aren’t talented enough
S besides Blankenship has been very up and down.
Slot corner after Aponte Maddox went down has also been a problem.

Our resident Eagles fans told us they wouldn’t miss CGJ, Coach Gannon, TJ Edwards, Hargraves, etc. Guess Eagles goofed.
