Eagles draft was outstanding

I read during the draft where Jordan can and will take plays off now and then, does not give 100% effort all the time.
He could be a bust or a JAG.
However, Eagles usually has a pretty decent front 7.

We did whip them pretty good last season.

That was my big concern about Davis. When he goes hard he is a dominant player, but he takes a lot of plays off, or at least he did in college. Preseason is not a great tool to measure that sort of thing since guys do not play an extended amount of time, but from what I saw, he went hard when he played and looked very strong. Of course it was the Jets so there's that but still. He looked better than I expected.

I would be careful about judging Jurgens after 1 preseason game though. Remember how good Farniok looked when he played against the Eagles last year. Yet I do not here much about him threatening Biadasz's job.

I saw Davis play a little against the Jets and honestly I was surprised by his energy. If he plays with that energy all the time the Eagles will have a very dominant player on that DL for the next 10 years.

Davis is a monster. But he plays with high energy early. The longer the game goes the less energy he has. It’s why Alabama stayed in hurry up during the SEC Championship.

This isn’t a knock on him. He landed in a perfect system/team. He will be a multi year Pro bowl DT regardless

Davis looks good early… but that much weight on his frame + wear and tear = short career IMO.

10 years? I’d put his over under at 6 years (unless he really slims down and keeps his conditioning up)

Couldn't you get all those good players teams acquire with high 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks with late 1st, 2nd and 3rds?
