Good.

They have tons of picks but would cripple their future cap.

Would be good for a year but then it could get tough.

I would be shocked if the Eagles paid what the Colts and Taylor are asking for.

Their fans also aren’t buying. It at all.

They’ll likely trade for him, play in or win another Super Bowl, and then rebuild again before the Cowboys get to an another NFC championship game.

When you hear many football noggins talk about the Eagles, they lightly question if the Birds adequately addressed the RB and LB positions.

So if the front office believes this to be the case would it really surprise you if the Eagles went after Taylor? My kid used to like the movie 'Robots'. One line from the movie that's applicable to Eagles operations is "See a need, fill a need."

Ultimately I doubt the deal gets done, but if it does, the capital they give up will in the end be magically favorable for the Eagles. That's the part of this that frustrates Cowboys fans. Others have a way of navigating the cap while Jerry and Co. seem to enjoy playing the game while handcuffed and blindfolded.

lol so it’s either a mind game to force the cowboys to make a dumb move, or a great move if they actually acquire him? sheesh
why can't it be that, are you new? It can clearly be a message to other teams to force them to overreact to something that could happen, or it could be true and yet again they go all in this year. Do you really think they would be the first team to try to spill oil on a rumour regarding Cowboy needs? Did you watch the draft and possibly notice the Iggles traded up in theory to keep Bijon from a team desperate to draft him? Sheesh is right, even though they didn't get him, but successfully pivoted

Yerp...the Cowboys will give up a 1st for him or if unsuccessful the Iggles will give up a 4th lol

There is a reason they got Penny for cheap for sure. They got Swift for cheap only because the Lions were dumb enough to pick a RB with the 12th pick and they had to dump him.
Swift can't stay healthy. I believe Gibbs will be a superstar. He's not a RB, he's a weapon. They knew what they needed to take their offense to next level.

Howie is bottom fishing, which is what he does best. There is little chance he's going to trade any top assets for Taylor. He's likely going to try to get him on the cheap. He sees the Colts are stuck in a bind here so he's going to keep pestering the Colts with low ball offers hoping that at some point, they get frustrated by the situation and dump him on Philly for like a 3rd round pick or something. Philly will take it, likely not bother resigning him and just using him up for one season. They'll view a 3rd round pick as a worthy price to pay for one season of a big time RB.

There's absolutely no chance the Eagles would use a 1st or 2nd round pick or more in a trade. All people kept screaming they'd use a first round pick on Gibbs or Robinson. That's not what they do.

You know Howie.

They will swap 4th (Eagles will get a higher pick then), a 6th in 2026 and a conditional 7th in 2025.

Taylor then signs a modest deal to play for a “contender”.

If Philly gets him, this division race is already over.

No need to wait on that one

Swift was cheap because he's always hurt. Penny has missed a lot of games as well. Penny might actually be the better runner, but neither has ever stayed healthy. I'm sure that's why they will employ a full on committee this year and it will be a war of attrition at the position. Both guys have missed a whopping 40 games.

about taylor, it would depend on what they give to get him.
also is he still as good as he was.
Can they or the team that gets him open holes for him and know how to use a run game?
Cowboys run blocking is juvenile lol, so they better just stick with their guys.

Jerry will say he is looking at getting taylor, which is another lie, while philly might just actually get him and for a good price.

Doubtful. They run a RB by committee and it works.

Gainwell, Scott, Swift, Penny.
If they get Taylor, it's not RB by committee anymore, and with that offensive line, he'll be unstoppable.

He's special

For some reason, the Colts will only ASK the Eagles for a 3rd Rd pick. If they dealt with Dallas, they would DEMAND a 1st and a 3rd.
