I doubt they're worried for the players or anyone else. I think it's just part of his disciplinary action. But it certainly didn't need to be declared publicly.
I think it's the times we live in. Everything you do has the possibility of being recorded and made public so that 100 million people can pass judgement and bully other people into doing something about it. The NFL itself seems particularly sensitive to public opinion.

That's kind of stupid. No one, no player is worried about that guy.
It’s punishment for him getting involved on the sidelines. It should please at least a few fans here seeing the guy is head of the Eagles security. It helps the debunk some of the craziness that fans have that the league favors the Eagles.

He is a escort for the coaching staff not a sideline goon. You watch, the NFL will ban all "security personnel" from the sideline now.

For a guy who is supposed to be a security expert, he should never have allowed himself to be in the position he was last Sunday. He is an escort for the coaching staff, not a sideline enforcer. It's no surprise the NFL has taken this action and it could lead to the NFL declaring team security personnel not being allowed on the sideline during the game.
Agree with you. If he is head of security, his job is to protect the players on BOTH sides from the fans. and unauthorized personnel...not takes sides in a dispute between players. He lost the plot. I think suspension is appropriate to recalibrate his mind - and other folks around the league - about respective duties. No need to fire the guy. Men make mistakes when filled with testosterone...not everyone one of them is a deal-breaking, toxic, blah-blah-blah...

I don't know why, but I thought the hosting team was in charge of security. It's our field.

That’s the NFL’s way of making up for screwing us by assigning Hussey and his crew to screw us.

I don't have a problem with the league's decision. It does not effect the Eagles team or the game. The guy will probably still get paid. So he doesn't get to watch the game from the sideline? This is a very modest slap on the wrist really. The league is sending a message to teams about allowing non-players and coaches on the sideline before something far more serious happens.

Having said that, Greenlaw had no reason to extent his arm the way he did to make contact with the guys face. That was stupid and compounded his mistake with the tackles (which I still think should not have been a penalty. The one thing I will say is not that this play has been the center of a lot of conversations, refs will be calling that tackles a penalty from here on so players betternot think they can get away with it as some have in the past.

It's surprising that this hasn't been mentioned yet.
First, "Dom" is a typical Philly ****** bag.
But, what Greenlaw initially did was raise his fist to Dom's face.
If you notice, it looks like Greenlaw is holding an imaginary gun.
Quickly, he realizes what he's doing and points a finger.

This is a regular occurrence in the inner cities. I see it all the time.

Watch my youtube.

Greenlaw suplexes Brown.
Greenlaw gets up with Brown
Dom pushes Greenlaw.
Greenlaw puts his finger in Doms face.

That is the sequence of events.
