Eagles Jamaal Jackson tears ACL

That's the thing about this time of year, losing a starter is magnified with every game more 'do or die' and likely because of bad weather, field conditions and everyone going 100%.

Pleeaassee let the Cowboys stay healthy.:

Hey, hey, hey. It's time to play.

Is this the Biggest Loser "before" shot?

I am listening to Andy Reid's Press Conference and he says it is a big deal.

'Scuses, eh-scuses, Big Andy.

Seriously that sucks. The center is the anchor and unless their backup is really good, McNabb might be running all day. Is their backup any good?

Nick Cole, who is a guard but has played Center will fill in for Jackson.

Andy Reid gushed over Cole during his Press Conference today and did it so much, he eventually had to catch him say and state, "I'm not saying we won't miss Jamaal Jackson but Nick will fill in nicely" :)

I would not want to lose Andre Gurode, especially in a game on the road with so much at stakes.

That is why I thought it was a big deal.

Nick Cole was already starting at RG. I don't think he's going to the pro bowl anytime soon but they like him. Moving all the guys around sure isn't going to help.

After Jackson left Sunday's game, Nick Cole moved from right guard to center, and Max Jean-Gilles played right guard.

Max Jean-Giles is not my idea of a let down coming into the lineup. It's about time that he broke into the mix anyway. I don't think that the status as to the West Coast offense has been hurt. Heck, with Giles into the lineup, their run blocking just might get better. That is a hard pill to swallow in addition to their passing game. May be a blessing in disguise....for them.

The challenge will be the line calls. Against a defense that likes to blitz, the line calls will go a long way to determining if anyone on the defense gets a clear shot at McNabb.

I think Cole is going to have his work cut out for him.

BTW, this is also the reason Proctor is the back-up center. He handles the line calls well.

I listened to Andy reids coaches show with merril reece and howard eskin.

reece and eskin gave Dallas zero credit for the win in november. Eskin is a complete moron, but reece has been calling games as long as sham and I found that interesting.

After the reid show, Todd herrimans came on and had his show, and reece asked herriman about ware. Eskin and reece said he was nothing special and herriman said he didnt do anything against us and we will face a better rush next week....they had sd the next week.

reece also said some crazy stuff about witten.

anyway, just thought I would add.

Giles hasn't proven to be any sort of world-beater.

When he came out I expected him to be a poor-mans Larry Allen.

But he has underwhelmed his career by a wide margin.

I think Ratliff can out-quick both Cole and Giles without much of a problem.

The keyword for Philadelphia's offensive line has been stability. Giles had to get to speed in pass blocking in that unit. I still don't think this 'adjusted' line has a whole lot of problem with the mobile McNabb, who has looked very mobile this season. Giles has very good size, and I don't think his strength in drive blocking has been questioned yet. He may well add to the running game, despite a West Coast offense used by Philadelphia. I don't think that the Eagles lose a beat, and Dallas will still have some problems getting to McNabb. That still spells trouble. Dallas has to not look for a quick way to do what it was able to do against a Washington line who WAS starting greatly inferior linemen accross it's offensive line.

sucks that we lost jackson considering he started 71 consecutive games for us, but cole should fill in very nicely as center

the only thing that worries me is Max coming in at RG. He can be good at times but then he can stick it up, he is too inconsistent. idk what to exppect

Merril Reece? Isn't he the Eagles announcer that sounds like he has an eggplant up his ***?

Merril Reece talks as if he has something stuffed in his mouth. And that "something" is most definitely profane in this context.:D

I really hate to see this happen, especially to a rival, and one that we'll have to play two weeks in a row.

Get well soon (like, in 3-4 weeks.).
