I'd give him a contract in a heartbeat, that would make our offense one of the most powerful, lethal and dangerous in all of football. He is still only 27 too, however, there may be a lot of interest from the Niners, Panthers, Browns, etc.

The panthers won't pay him. In fact they just got rid of one small basket case why would they want another over paid Napoleon?

Just checking, Philly has a 'real' GM, right? So, everything should be under control there. I keep hearing here that no crazy stuff would happen here if only we had a real GM. Rumors of Philly outright releasing him if they can't trade him. I'm sure GM Jerry would be getting ripped to shreds if he were trying to trade for a third round or late round pick or cut his best WR especially when the team is $16M under the cap including Jackson's salary.

I asked my diehard Eagle friend what she thought about the potential trade/release of Jackson and she said she looked forward to the day he was gone and prefers a bigger WR in the Dez beast mold.

There is a huuuge difference between Steve Smith and Desean Jackson, here is 1 difference of a bunch of characteristics, Smith didn't wildly spend all his money early in his career and had to use his agent's credit card for his expenditures.

Desean is like what Justiin Bieber would be if he were an NFL athlete.

No. Desean has talent, the other guy you mentioned doesn't.

I say NO! To do so puts us back on the same road and into the same fix we have been in and trying to get out.

It will be great to see DeSean Jackson out of Philly - hope he goes to the AFC, preferably the AFC West so we don't see him for a while unless it is in the Super Bowl.

He's a class AAA D-bag. Let some other team deal with him. Don't get me wrong, he's a great WR, but can't stand his me-only mentality.

The NFL is filled with talented players who aren't worth the trouble they bring. He's just another one.

I'd like to have him but not at the expense of not getting linemen.

In addition to wanting far more than we could afford to pay him, he'd more than likely prove a distraction just like he was in Philly. No thanks. The upcoming draft promises to be rich with wideouts that would cost far less and be much less of a pain in the arse.

1. Don't like him...at all.
2. Too expensive

I'd be willing to overlook 1 if 2 were false though...lol

I would just be thrilled to see him out of Philly and the division.

I would love it.

If we can't turn our defense around, then we had better be able to score more points than the other team.

Desean and Dez would be a lethal combination. We haven't had speed like his in a quite some time (since Galloway/Ismail).
