Eagles v Pats Game thread *Merged*

Moss always pushes off and they just now call that 11 games in the season

always remember this, theo never knows what he's talking about ;)

2ndly, the 4-5 yards the slant gets them is what you want from a good running game, it's a very hard route to defend, it's used to beat man coverage, but it's even more effective against a zone

as long as teams respect the deep ball of the Pats, they can run slants all day in place of having a running game

lol but great point. never thought about that.

but it's about time Moss gets caught with that. even if it wasn't legitimate. it needs to be called.

the only time I hate winning QBs, is when they get a call go against them, they turn into whiny brats real quick

Not even close.

The Rams scored 4 points less in 11 games in 2000, and the rules weren't as conducive for the offense.

BTW, Randy Moss finally got called for Offensive PI. They call that 50 percent of the time on Moss...

is welker faster than Glenn?either way we need glenns speed in the slot.

Welker is really not fast at all 40 wise, he just has that football speed and is lightning quick.

I wish we'd run the slant more.

We have the receivers to do it.

Even TO was wondering why we don't run it more often.

slant slant slantn screen screen slant. Than deep pass to stallworth or Moss. Texas Tech offense babey.

nice hold Eagles d.

So how does a team stop a slant?

Zone blitzing.

Defenses can drop back linemen, who can then pick off or knock down the pass because quarterbacks expect them to rush.
