Twitter: Earl Thomas ready to return

We'd be stupid not to take a look....he wants to play in Dallas? If he can produce, bring him in...haters don't understand production....they just cast stones.

I am going to be the one to disagree. I actually think he would be better then Kazee was last season. Hooker and Thomas in the back end of the defense would actually be solid. Thomas played well for the Ravens for the most part. You can always cut him if he acts up.

Maybe it's just me.
But I wouldn’t want to chance a cancerous player atmosphere and locker room, players having to constantly be on eggshells worrying about
conflict, turmoil and distractions. I’d like to already have built a constructive atmosphere where they can feel comfortable, think fast, adjust fast,
vs worrying about in-house battles, both on playing field, sidelines, and off field, social media wars, etc.

Just cutting a troubled player doesn’t always instantly allow some players to be able to instantly plug in focus, re-gain confidence and rapport right away, then and there on the spot.
I think it’s important to early, healthy, constructive and trusting atmosphere early on.. and keep it at a level.

As mentioned before, I’d think NFL teams would be far more worried about his mental state, than his physical shape and condition.
Ditto for me too.

I'd personally pass on him I think. But that said, if DQ evaluates him and likes what he sees, there's nothing wrong with a league minimum deal with production based incentives. Worst case scenario, he's a dud and cut him in preseason.

His teammates voted him off the island in Baltimore. They literally went to their bosses and asked for him to be cut.

I don't see how a 33 year old safety, who hasn't played in 2 years and lost his last gig that way, would be an asset.

You may not see it, but the coaches might.....that's what matters.

Please please don't let the linking to the cowboys begin, oh let's not forget he played for Quinn (yawnnnn) have at it!!!

He should be linked to the Cowboys, and we should look into him.

You people are way too negative.

It's entirely possible he'll be a model citizen. Might want to end his NFL career on a more positive note than having the players of a team vote him off the island. Should want that, if for no other reason than the financial one of improving his image for marketing and HOF purposes. And the Cowboys make for a great fit for that with Quinn and our big stage.

Maybe he's physically washed up, maybe not. Probably still faster than the safeties we've got.

~from the mind of Stephen Jones~

"hmm. Signing Thomas now will not help us win a Super Bowl in the offseason. I'll ask Pappy to pass on him."

Here we go with Earl Thomas again. He hasn’t played since 2019 and is 33 years old.

I think it’s a perfect fit; not even close to one of the biggest risks you’ve taken lately, and even if he’s half the player he used to be, he’d help you tremendously.

To help us tremendously he needs to be the player he was and he’s his not even close. He’s been out of football for 3 years and is in his mid 30s. He’s done!
