What if Dak were continue on his second half slide of last season? What if defenses really have figured him out? What if he really is a 4th round QB that just had a freakish run and we end up going 4-12? That #1 in 2019 looks very appealing at drafting a QB at that point. Trust me. I really hope that Dak is the long term answer at QB. That's one less thing we have to worry about. Just saying that we just need to consider this before we start throwing our 2019 #1 draft pick up for a safety.

Dude the salary part shouldn’t be an issue he is a top 3 safety in the league. 1st and 3rd THIS year is too much though.

Not a 1 and a 3. A 1 next year and yes pay him...this team has played it safe for awhile now and has nothing to show for it. We need to take some chances. We took a chance by trading Walker and it did us good. Yes Galloway didnt turn out well but atleast we took a shot. I would rather take a chance .go for the gold then stay safe and finish 8-8 or 9-7
