PFF has 10 guys in their top 50 for OT and 11 at WR so whoever the top guy is that falls. OKs Guyton is intriguing. I’d argue there is a drop off from guys like Legette, Franklin and Thomas for what will be available in the 2nd.

Again I’m not advocating for taking a WR at 24…just saying take the best player available at a money position. We got a lot of needs.
You have a DT problem. You have a LB problem. You have an OT problem.

Taking at WR at 24 is nuts to me unless it's a case where a guy you have ranked really high falls to you, like Lamb did a few years ago. Then in that scenario, yeah, you take the WR.

Oh I agree 100%…but my hope is we attack some of those needs in FA. I’ve been vocal about being a BPA guy. DT and LB are generally cheaper in FA than OT and WR.

Also agree on the falling WR point. I like a WR at 24 if you have a top 20 1st round grade that falls. Keep in mind we could save money on cutting Gallup and Cooks only has a year left on his contract so it’s not just about year 1.

IF we draft a OT I want a master of OT not a jack of the OL
We need LB and we still need a DT; hopefully we can pick up something in FA that is not dumpster diving

Jared Verse - would be a homerun, unfortunately he's probably top 15.

My guess with the OT depth is that there will also be a massive run on Tackles,
won't be the BPA if you go OT.

Wideout, DT, DB will be the BPA is my guess.

Verse is a stud. Never know who will slide so he could be there. I don’t think anyone saw Smith and Murphy sliding to us last year.

For OT the depth is the reason a stud will be available when we pick.

Also need another pass rusher besides Parsons

There isn't value in the back half of the first compared to the second round, especially as it compares to OT.

There's no reason to take, say, Legette in the first when you can just take Corley in the second.
Because you take your guy. Imagine they took their guy las porte in the 1st instead of hoping he's there in the 2nd

I’m not saying we draft him but one guy I’ve recently been watching that falls under my “favorite” prospect list is Georgia safety Javon Bullard. I really feel like our safeties disappeared for stretches this year.

They brought him up on the draft show so I watched a little and he’s a fun watch. Gives me Dax Hill / Brian Branch vibes.

In the mock sims, he seems to be sitting there at our 2nd round pick. I'd have no problem pulling the trigger on him. Kearse is likely done, right? How good is Bell as a S? I could see Bullard being a solid pick there in the 2nd.

Only issue is that I'd really like to see us pepper the OL, DL and LBs in the first three rounds.

Watch what happens in free agency. If Dallas re-sign Tyron Smith they are not going to draft an OT in the first.

I think they will draft an Edge player or WR.

What I hope is they take DT again. They won't but it is their biggest need.

I wish I was posting this weeks later but here we are. A few early 1st round favorites (with a lot of work left to do on looking at players).

- Laiatu Latu / Jared Verse - DE
- Jer'Zhan Newton - DT
- OT (anyone that falls - arguably strongest position in the class)
- Tez Walker / Xavier Leggette - WR
- Edgerin Cooper - LB
- Cooper DeJean - CB
Newton is a stud DT. He will dominate the NFL. I highly doubt he falls to us.

I don’t know…we’ve seen the Boys double down in FA and the draft to attack needs prior.

I’d love to see us sign a FA OT, LBr, DT, RB and double dip in the draft. We have to be all in.

OL looks to be where one of our top needs and BPA align at 24.

LB is another huge need, so is a #2 WR. LB is weak at the top of the draft and can't see how we can justify a WR in the first.

Problem is we only have a 2nd and 3rd before the bottom of the 5th.

Also have to get a RB somewhere. As well as DE, DT and S. Armstrong is a FA and there's talk DLaw could be a cap casualty. Kearse at safey is likely gone, and possibly Hooker.

Even if we hit on our top 3 picks, which never happens, we'd still have about 4 critical positions not addressed. Would have to up their game in FA, but with the cap situation and possible Dak contract there may not be much to work with even if the FO is willing.

Ideally we’re very active in FA and we don’t have to force picks on need.

With some extensions, re-structures and cuts we can free up like 50 million.

We like our guys!
LoL yup…

We’re going to hear Jerry and Stephen try to sell us on the year 2 leap of Mazi, how Overshown is Fred Warner and how we’re going to pay Diggs 100 billion fresh off an injury.
