I thought the Seahags were going to murder us. My opinion was clearly wrong and I'm eating major crow now...but it tastes soooo goooood! Our team is finally legit. At minimum we are going to the playoffs.

Thought we would get bullied. Dog walked.

They gladly proved me wrong

I'll eat crow on the season and thoroughly enjoy it!!

My issue is why is there always right or wrong these days? Can't we just enjoy the games? As I said in another thread I don't think most realistically saw this and I also don't think there was some master plan to blow games the last 3-4 years. Teams grow. As a fan I'm excited. I just realize that its always up and down. I've not liked JG and stuck up for Romo but I'm not starting "see look at Romo now" threads because I know he had issues too. If we were going to keep this up and I'd write about Jerry's 18 year master plan. People learn and grow. I enjoy the ride.

I'm joining in on this crow eating business. My crow isn't about the team or this game tho, I'm eating crow about Jerry Jones the GM. Anyone who reads my posts I have been consistently hard on Jerry the GM. Well I was wrong. If we go on to the playoffs and the next couple years we are a contender, Jerry has to be given his due as a gm. He's built a fantastic offensive line, stayed patient with Garrett, Romo, and Dez(referencing Dez's early career issues), also drafted TWill. On defense traded for McClain, and most importantly for the defense he hired good coaches That is maximizing talent.

So I am happily eating crow about Jerry the GM cuz it's looking like he's built something. And I know Jerry is not the only one who drafts, signs free agents, etc but I'll give him his props right now and I was wrong.

Good for you Jerry, I know you'll never read this or care about me but I'm happy for you as a person to get to enjoy today's victory with all the idiots like me saying you're a bum the last couple years. You are a good GM.

I thought we would lose by three TDs. Honestly, this is amazing. They're better to this point than I could have ever imagined.

What other choice did he have but to come forward?

I hate these threads. Because I never quite feel it's appropriate to be a jerk in them, but, at the same time, a single mea-culpa thread means almost nothing to me in the scheme of things after thousands upon thousands of posts and arguments that just belittle the team and take enjoyment from the forum for months when they're not necessary.

That's not directed at the OP or at any poster in particular. It's just my general comment that the 'mmm, this crow tastes so good!' stuff is weak sauce after the fact. I think I'd rather we just all enjoy the huge win. Good times, everybody. Haters and homers, alike.

I picked them to go 5-11 this year. I reckon they have to lose out now or I'm eating crow with secret sauce and Johnny Walker Blue!

Eating it here. Predicted a loss. But I did pick the Cowboys against the 8.5 spread, so that has to count for something. Right?

QFT!

Nevertheless, this was a very satisfying win for every Cowboy fan.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The problem is people who want to bring others down even after a win. Even after a 4 game win streak, there were negative comments all around. Maybe now everyone can see that the Cowboys are headed in the right direction. If the team stays healthy, the sky's the limit. I'm not predicting anything, but it sure looks promising. Let's all enjoy it.

I predicted the team to go 6-10. there was nothing in the off season that would indicate anything but. Its been years since I have thought this team had what it takes to go all the way. So to me it was just the start of another season. Anyone who says they saw this coming, well, I just don't believe you.

That said, I have been a fan since the late 60's and was used to expecting a win every time this team lined up on game day. For the first time today, I really felt the excitement that has been missing for many years. I was expecting this team to be prepared to play inspired football and lose this game. But this morning, for some reason I started to feel like we would win this game. Even after the horrendous start with the blocked punt, I still felt good about this game.

If this team can figure out how to play a complete game, offense/defense/special teams, it may be unstoppable.

So if that means eating crow, bring it on!

Haha. Gladly.

Thought this would be an epically bad matchup, but we hushed Harvin early, and really didn't have to deal with it. And they didn't get the run game going either. We snuffed that early a bit and they just absolutely feared not scoring on offense because they had no idea when they'd be getting the ball back. Could NOT commit to the run because of it.

I like my crow well done with peanut butter

I'm chewing on some of that myself tonight as well. Thought we'd get run right outta there - that people were hyping up a game between a championship team and a team that wasn't really for real. Sure can't say that now, and I'm happy to be wrong. That said, it's still only week 6. Lot of football left to be played this season. But I never thought we'd be 5-1 at this point, and tied for the best record in the league.

IMO, no need to apologize for getting this wrong. Eat crow, be done with it, enjoy! The same could be said for those who went the other way when things were not going so well. I do not begrudge anyone for seeing things in a way I did not.

The calling out, either way, seems a bit petulant from where I sit. As I've said before, both potbangers and happy fans can be equally as irritating. Of course, folks get tired of being beaten over the head with the same thing thread after thread, and I get that.

But for those who were simply wrong/right, but posted in reasonably good taste, I shall enjoy reading some good-natured gloating and *of course* on the other end, plenty of crow.
