Eat crow here

It's funny how out of 18 years, they had a couple of relevant years yet some people picked them to win all 18 years. That's just stupid. You can actually admit when your team sucks, just as you can celebrate when your team is great. There's a difference between not rooting for your team anymore and criticizing when it's due.

All I can say is, I love this team and I deserve any flack guys give me for being down on this team, THIS YEAR. Not years past, but this year.

This is exactly how I feel. I have been right for a long time but I'm man enough to admit when I'm wrong. I'm critical and speak up when the Cowboys put a bad product on the field but give them props when they deserve it. I thought for sure the Cowboys would suck this year and have been gladly proven wrong. Enjoying the crow!

Hey for once the realists and homers can come together. Not sure how long it will last but I hope for a long time.

I'll have my crow with some red wine. After the niners game I wanted the Romo era to end.

I feel better now

Call me a blind homer, I always expect for them to win, but I also am prepared for them to lose because it is very hard to go undefeated and the avg win count for the good teams is probably right at 11. Every teams has that bell weather game game and they also have that one game they had no business losing, its what you do with the ones in between that define the team.

I hate these threads. Because I never quite feel it's appropriate to be a jerk in them, but, at the same time, a single mea-culpa thread means almost nothing to me in the scheme of things after thousands upon thousands of posts and arguments that just belittle the team and take enjoyment from the forum for moths when they're not necessary.

That's not directed at the OP or at any poster in particular. It's just my general comment that the 'mmm, this crow tastes so good!' stuff is weak sauce after the fact. I think I'd rather we just all enjoy the huge win. Good times, everybody. Haters and homers, alike.

And I wonder how long the positive vibes will last -- probably until the next loss.

We know that losses will come; our bad breaks will be dominated by another team's good ones.

But we are not going to suddenly turn to crap (unless the entire DL gets injured like last year).

So, can we all just stay positive and stop trying to poop in the bean dip?

This team finally has an identity, if they would have lost yesterday I wouldn't have been upset. I will take my crow.

As long as the team does what they are supposed to I personally will remain positive. If not, I have no issues being honest and talking about the downsides. I know what the team is capable of now and they need to own it out there.

I thought game would be measuring stick.

It was.

We won.

Next time will be harder, but we still win!

Give me crow anyways... For other posts I have made lol

I'm with you Clove. It's been so long since we have be relevent. This team has really shocked me this year. I thought we would be 8-8 or worse and didn't believe in them until this game. It's now undeniable that something is special about the Cowboy's this year and it is time for the realists and homers to unite!

What a crock!

Its alright to be a pessimist.........can always be happy when your wrong......

I am a pessimist and will always be it seems but

I predicted a losing record although I never trashed the Cowboys. I thought they would fight all year but come up short with a lack of talent.
I still dont know how they managed and I dont think Im alone either, but I felt after that Saints crushing victory if they could win the next 2, or just show a high level of competition against the Seahawks, I would have to admit that the Cowboys are absolutely for real.

I am now riding in the cadillac lol. there isnt much room back here though :p

because Im a born pessimist I will always be wary ok? lol

i never expected them to murder us. but i did think they could stop our run and win the game. can't see many who actualy was confident we would win. but whats really great is that if they can't stop our run, no team we play during the regular season will be able too. and thats whats important against the eagles. run on them, keep that offense off the field and never let them get going

Yeah but they made you look right for the better part of 20 years.

So excuse me if I'm not interested in any lessons from the crowd who simply pick the Cowboys every week of every year.

You are burning up, huh! lol I guess that duct tape worked! (pathetic)

Is it time to man up and back your team?
Come on! This bandwagon is Rollin!
We welcome you all:grin:

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The problem is people who want to bring others down even after a win. Even after a 4 game win streak, there were negative comments all around. Maybe now everyone can see that the Cowboys are headed in the right direction. If the team stays healthy, the sky's the limit. I'm not predicting anything, but it sure looks promising. Let's all enjoy it.

Way to go! Be proud of yourself. You deserve it:thumbup:

See, this is exactly the issue. People have no trouble 'being honest and talking about the downsides' before, either. Only, people were wrong about the downsides and, it turns out, honesty doesn't mean all that much if people honestly don't know how to evaluate what it is they are seeing.

It's not about honesty or about the ability to be critical. It's about understanding what's really been going on--or trying to get to the bottom of what's been going on when you don't understand it--and discussing it in a rational way that's not directed by your emotion or by what it is that you want to see.
