When MoC got demoted last season or in 2014, I recall he stormed out of the Ranch and it was a big media story. But I don't recall him skipping any team meetings or practices.

It may be Lucky was told he was having KR duties taken from him and this his how he chose to handle it. I've noticed too many times he's making dumb decisions NOT to fair catch the ball inside the 10 yard line. About 7 or 8 times he's put the team in a big hole by not letting the ball go when it would've had an excellent chance of going into the end zone for a touchback. Instead we've ended up starting our drives on the 10 or the 12.

In one game he did this 3 times.

Really guys? Do y'all not remember how horrid Beas was? Maybe I'm forgetting a productive Dunbar in the PR/KR roll?

Whitehead is a gadget player, and our returner. What am I missing that y'all are so non-chalant about this?

Seriously, someone please help me understand this, fam

Lucky has gained 167 yards *all season* on punt returns...So we might be out 12-13 yards. He's only actually returned about 1.5 x a game. I think I almost prefer all fair catches when you factor in the risk of injury, penalty and fumble.

And on kickoffs I DEFINITELY prefer downing it or letting Dunbar handle duties. How many times do we start at the 12 or 18 yard line when we try to return it? Not worth it.

Yes Whitehead is a threat on those sweeps but can easily be replaced for one game.

I guess it's the threat of his return. He's under-performed since about week 4, but he is still our best returner, IMO. Beas is horrid.

I don't disagree with Garrett doing this. I was more questioning the blasé attitude of the diehards here.

Lucky isn't Harris, hell to the no, but he still has decent vision when returning punts (in particular).

If Lance can come in and produce, use this chance to gain more of a roll on the team, then heck yeah. Lance is a quick, little dude with some wiggle, too... like Lucky.

T, I like Lucky, but what he did, with this team and how our season is going, well, he deserved it. Here's to Dunbar (or whomever) stepping up and seizing their new opportunity to gain a roll (in this case, as a PR).

Well that sweep play that we run once a game is out of the playbook now

I don't know. I could see us lining up Dunbar in that spot and using the sweep play as either a fake or hand-off to him. He's a decent enough receiver that you can't discount him either being handed or thrown the ball.

Get him off the team, get Williams off the team, get Free off the team, get Carr off the team, get Scandrick off the team, get Dunbar off the team, get Escobar off the team, what team would we field if we got everyone off the team that messed up, or had a bad play or two. We are 11-1, we need everyone we have on the team, and more.

How about we require these guys to make a good "play or two?" How about that?

Instead of slap assing every mediocre player on the roster who doesn't contribute and can't do his job, maybe some of these guys need to go before they take the rest of them down with them?

Players like Whitehead, who don't do much and don't do what they do well, should be thanking their 'Lucky' stars that they're even in the league. But instead, they're out partying, thinking that they're something they're not. An NFL star.
