Eberflus is the problem!

Their LBs and Ss are a bigger problem.

Yes, they are that bad. Exactly what makes you say they aren't?
Lack of pass rush is the biggest problem for the defense, not their inability to cover.

Following last seasons time clock management debacle on Thanksgiving Eberflus was fired in Chicago as HC . The overall broad picture is what did Chicago do on defense that had Jones hiring him here other than he used to work here . So what .
Eberflus never had great defenses. The best he did at Indy was around 10. IIRC by points allowed, his defenses were something like 10, 16, 9, 10. And for at least the last year, he had two of the worst offenses in the league in his own division in Jacksonville and Houston.

Plus the guy has the personality of a brown paper bag.

Jerry should do the obvious, fire him and let Schottenheimer hire his own guy. But of course that's the rational and reasonable way, not the Jerry Jones way.

I’m sorry if he’s a relative, but there’s no excuse for the absolutely terrible job he’s doing in Dallas.
Have fun on your quest, this is what you fall back on in a debate or discussion? What's the point?

Different players. Do you really pay that little attention? We let Lewis/Gholston/Kendricks/DLaw/Lawson/Watkins all walk. How in the world did you not notice this? And then traded away our only top player before the season.

I swear, some people.
Fans severely underestimate how solid Lewis was. Same with Lawrence. You make a good point, the best defensive player in the World gets traded and we replenish later in the season. It's a pattern. And imagine we made moves earlier. We could the team be? Even a win or two would be huge.

What are you watching? They're dead last in pass defense. They actually rank higher stopping the run, lol.

Just wrote another thread proving why it's the lack of pass rush.

Right. The Jones want continuity which I get. But continuing down this path is a bad idea. It won’t get much better.

The point is that I’m left questioning your motivation to attempt to excuse a defensive coordinator clearly doing a terrible job.

The numbers clearly show the impact that Dan Quinn had in Dallas.

While it’s also true that the offense lives and dies with Dak Prescott’s health and availability, you can easily see that the defense has been a disaster both before and after Dan Quinn’s time here.

That's simply your interpretation. I'm just not willing to blame coaching and not illustrate other obvious factors that contribute. You can get your eyes on it. I'm not even a huge fan of the DC, never was. Look back at my history. I wasn't a huge supporting fan. Ever. But you assume that. Then, instead of gaining perspective, out come the playground claws, lol.

Follow the title of the thread. Unfortunately for some fans, they misunderstand that football isn't black and white. It's just easier.

In all honesty Eberflus is coaching with the hand he was given and it's been a pretty crappy hand for most of the season.
To be honest it doesn't matter his unwillingness to run more man and more pressure is on him 100 percent you have no proof all I've seen in games that he did that we had a whole lot more sacks a lot more pressures and a few more turnovers and he decides in bigger moments where he got a second chance I just posted it down only three points 10 minutes left to play what does he do stays in Prevent that's 100% on Matt and you enabling and making excuses for him is why I have you on Ignore in the first place and sorry I even read this you're making excuses for a terrible coach who has the ego the size of Texas on his unwillingness to play man defense and bring more pressure regardless if it wouldn't have helped win many more games he has to try everything he possibly can to win a game with the roster he has he's been unwilling to do it...

You call it a crappy hand all you want but the Lions game reminded most fans of who he was the first part of the season and no matter what Jerry gave him with the trades and the injuries that got better in the players got on this team were better you were on a little roll and then you revert back to playing prevent defense in moments where you shouldn't have been you should have brought the game to them and you didn't..

That's on MATT I'm sorry.... You wanna percentage already said it probably in this thread or somewhere 80% of our problem is systemic it comes from him you want to give 20% because of the roster and injuries that's fine but that Lions game was 100% on him....

The last 10 minutes he had a chance to redeem himself in the most pivotal part of our season down by three points now it's time to turn up the heat and get really aggressive and I don't care if we'd have still lost the game it would have showed that he really cared about doing everything possible to win the game versus sit back in that stupid prevent that he calls Cover 3..

Pressure with what? Easy to just demand he run stuff when you simply don't have what it takes to do this. But sure, fire the guy and bring on the next guy. It won't change anything.

Last I saw, that ‘hand’ was a lot better when Dan Quinn was the defensive coordinator.

Every player didn’t ‘somehow’ get worse. But they all got worse coaching.
