Sanchez gets his PTP'er's the rock.

Yeah.

Epic 50% completion percentage against a god-awful secondary.

He also gets the rock to Saints DBs.

Braylon Edwards has had the drops for years. Roy has ALWAYS had better hands. Only a true idiot homer would claim otherwise.

Miami has the 8th ranked defense overall and are 6th overall in total sacks.

This is against pretty good competition.

Edwards had a decent game because the Jets have a Schottenheimer and they can get their wr's the ball.

as far as Williams/Edwards comparisons go, it's ridiculous. Edwards has been a liability for that organization for years now, on and off the field. I'll take Roy every day of the week.

From my understanding the terminology for the Jets offense was pretty similar to what he had in Cleveland. That helps. But frankly, this idea of "chemistry" and what not is overrated. Get open, the QB can find you the ball. Where chemistry helps is whether or not the QB trusts the WR. Obviously, Sanchez trusts Edwards.

Agreed.

Yesterday, Michael Irvin was questioning why Miles Austin had been targeted 15 times and maximum number of times Roy Williams has only been targeted is 7.

I don't believe that Tony Romo "trusts" Miles Austin more then he does Roy Williams. I believe Miles Austin is getting open and therefore, giving himself an opportunity to be targeted.

He went what? 5 for 60 and a TD?

Let's hold on before we crown his ***.

Gentlemen, far too much crowning happening. That line is getting the "town bicycle" treatment.

Miami has maybe the worst secondary in the NFL. They have the only safeties that could possibly rival ours in terms of suckage.

Somewhere a CZ member is deducting "cred" points from you and giving them to himself.

Edwards is better than Roy. It's not even close. He's faster, has better hands, runs better routes, and goes up and gets the ball better.

Exactly, Gruden is beyond annoying. Last night night every player and coach he talked about was the best in the business.

I know Jon Gruden was excited, but he's ALWAYS excited. He loves everyone.

This. People thought Gruden was audition for a HC gig in Dallas a couple weeks ago. I like Gruden. I think he's a really good mind to have in the booth. His delivery is pretty terrible at times but he knows what he is talking about.

Thought it was funny last week there was a trick play of some sort and Jaws had to tell Gruden to sit down.

True.

The big knocks on Braylon Edwards was his hands.

If i'm not mistaken, I believe he had some drops against a few years ago.

However, there is no question that he is already making plays with his new team.

And the 21st ranked passing defense. Let's get the whole story. They also allow 8.4 yards per attempt! Other teams in that region of defensive ineptitude? KC, TB, DET, and STL. Three winless squads and the Lions. And this is even after they demolished the Bills, allowing only 160 yards passing. Even with that effort, their numbers are down that low.

Their secondary is really bad.

I'd be willing to bet even Crayton has been targeted more than Roy Williams in the games they've played together. The question becomes why. Personally, I just don't think Williams is open enough or his idea of open and Romo's are two different things. Williams would prefer the ball in tight spaces and give him the shot to make the grab. I don't think Romo is in a position to gamble like that given the fact he might be a little gunshy with all the criticisms.

You obviously haven't seen much of Vontae Davis.

I would say he's played better than Scandrick, but not Jenkins.

Their real trouble is that their safeties seem to be borderline-********. I think their corners might look a bit better if their safeties would play their position. But then again, that's the same problem we have.

Looking at all these threads about how Braylon was on the same page as Sanchez and how Roy isn't.....yadda yadda.....has me pretty bothered with the Martellus situation.

2nd year and he doesn't know the playbook? How can he not know it as well as he did in the preseason or camp when he was tearing things up? How can he not know it at least as well as he did last year when he was showing a couple of plays.

Its confusing to me that they can't find a way to get him involved. If he truly doesn't know the plays he's an idiot and Garrett needs to recognize that and give him some plays he can handle.

At the very least "go get it" should be worth a play or two each game.

It's mind boggling. He and Felix were supposed to be utilized in ways to create mismatches and keep defenses on their toes. Haven't see it yet. Felix is shredding when healthy but with all the talk of him moving around, it hasn't happened. Bennett, he's had as many opportunities all season as we all thought he would have in a game.

I dunno.

Miami's Secondary may be the weakness of their team but they are getting pressure on the Quarterback.

Also, they have faced Matt Ryan, Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers and Sanchez hasn't been too bad himself.

I really believe those Quarterbacks would put up good numbers against our Secondary and most others in this league.

Good point. Romo definitely needs to learn to give Roy a chance.

Michael Irvin didn't think he was getting open either.

I agree with your thoughts on Roy Williams. I remember when Keyshawn Johnson was here and they would talk about how Drew Bledsoe had to understand that Keyshawn Johnson could catch balls in tight coverage.

Tony Romo may be a little gun shy when trying to fit the ball into tight spaces. Plus he has a tight end that is developing an almost legendary reputation for just being open every play.

I think the $1 million question is, does Roy Williams have the type of game Miles Austin had against the Chiefs?

I don't know that he does.

You kiddin me? Manning, Ryan and Rivers would dissect this defense. Sanchez would probably be up and down but he'd make the plays.

This defense has it work cut out for itself in the next month. These next 4 games are TOUGH. All of those teams are capable and all have good QBs. Dallas has only played 2 good QBs this season and came up short to both. Wade better be burning the candle at both ends over the bye.

I dunno.

Jason Garrett is the Offensive Coordinator.
