I don't doubt EV trucks would make for good haulers, instant torque, but that range drops dramatically. The point of multiple vehicles wasn't about the people that can own multiple vehicles, but about the ones that can't afford it and an EV isn't practical for them right now. Sounds like you live in Cali, charging points are probably more widespread than other parts of the country. You also own a house so home charging is convenient, it's not so convenient for those living in apartments, where only a small percentage may have charging points.
Reading your other responses, especially about the infrastructure, it's about the future, what will happen but we're not there yet for a large portion of people. EV certainly sounds like the wave of the future, but until it becomes more widespread, cheaper, and convenient, many people won't make the switch.
