Cowboys where literally top 10 in all the major defense stats (yards allowed, interceptions, touchdowns allowed).
Stats like total yards allowed, rushing touchdowns allowed, rush yards allowed there where literally exactly on par with the Giants defense...
It's a myth that Eli was on the only playoff team with a solid defense, even his competitor the patriots where playing lights out on defense for the entire playoff run
The only thing he was good at is throwing the long ball. Other than that, I thought he sucked. If he gets in the HOF , that simply means , the HOF means nothing, and his brother and dad got him there from their names. ELI IS NOT a HOF player. No way , no how! The defense hot them those two ttophiesI can not believe that guy won 2 Superbowls and is going to be a HOF'r..
Ben belongs there, hate to say it,. But that guy has taken a pounding for his team to help them win. I'd take big Ben over ELI all day and all year.150 less touchdowns, 1 less super bowl MVP, 4 less pro bowls, almost 20,000 less yards........
LOL at "he's basically Eli" (now your REACHING).
A better example would be Big Ben (same touchdowns, same yards, 2 superbowls as well)
Guess what ? Yeah Ben will end up in the hall too......
False comparison fallacy, he's in the NFL playing, not in the backyard with us. He gets compared to his contemporaries, not us. .We must still respect him as a football player...not many could play ball at his level.
Eli was a class act guy. Looked dumb at times but he really raised his game when he got into those SB runs. Many people will never want to give him credit because he also had a good defense and had a little luck.https://www.foxnews.com/sports/eli-...ter-16-seasons-with-new-york-giants-team-says
He had a good run. Better this way than to try to stay too long.
Apparently will announce Friday.
Please don't let him find his way into the TV booth!!!
If he gets in, he'd be the only QB in the HOF whose career passer rating was actually below the average of his era.not saying I disagree with you but it's just the nature of the position
60000 yards and 2 time super bowl MVP + playing the most valuable position in the sport is going to be viewed by the committee basically the equivalent of like Alan Faneca career accolades in their eyes
150 less touchdowns, 1 less super bowl MVP, 4 less pro bowls, almost 20,000 less yards........

Agree, I dislike him, but he won enough and has the stats to get in the HOF....His last name doesn't hurt him in the process either........I'm not an Eli fan by any stretch (in fact, he has always annoyed me), but it's nonsense to suggest he doesn't have the credentials to be a serious candidate for the HOF. The guy has 2 Super Bowl wins and is 7th all time both in passing yards and in TD's.
So does Joe Namathlynn swann says hi
Was he more than average?
I checked a couple years ago, and he averaged around 17th in the league in passer rating over his career. He is the poster child for average.
They are good ambassadors for the leagueThe Manning brothers are actually really nice and cool people.
Funny too.
He had a nice career and has been a guy the giants could be proud to represent their teamGood for him. Made huge money and has 2 rings. Nice career if you ask most.
That is trueSome of you guys are a bunch of *****... Not an Eli fan but he has been nothing but class since he came into the league.
He’s the all time passing leader for the Giants. He had a nice career and has been a guy the giants could be proud to represent their team
I don’t think he’s HOF worthy but he probably gets in
