I remember the preseason game against Seattle in 2016 when Zeke tried to run over Kam Chancellor and saying to myself this guy thinks he's invincible. He and Marion Barber both had this "indestructible" complex about themselves, and it shortened they're careers.

Zeke has had a very good career. Not HOF worthy but nevertheless very good.

Imagine Zeke is on a rookie FA minimum contract, is Elliott worth a roster spot? If his salary was of no consequence would you keep him?

I'm interested in the consensus of opinions on him, based strictly on his current performance potential. Cost is irrelevant.

But Zeke wouldn't *be* a rookie who you expected to improve. He'd be a rookie with a degenerative disease called "Too Much Mileage in the NFL" who you expected to move on from at the earliest opportunity.
Worse, we *need* to give a rookie, and probably two, carries so we have a chance of having one for next year who we feel we can move forward and stop paying RBs 7 figure salaries.
Zeke is just a bad fit for us and our needs right now. If he were running a little stronger he could be a nice fit for a contender looking for a veteran positive yardage pass blocking RB.

The invincibles are fun while they're invincible, though.
Probably not Zeke, as he was the 4th pick, but downroster RBs really should simply have the attitude, especially in their contract year, that they're gonna be playing 110%. You don't play as long, but it gives you an edge while you do.
I really got sick of Witten going down like a sack of potatoes. TEs should be delivering punishment against DBs they outweigh by 60-70 lbs.
