He didn't even start in college....but, I'm sure you know more than all of his coaches....lol!!!
I don't know anything coach. I'm just thinking that a 212 back isn't too small to start.

I don't think he should be the #1, and I am against a single back system anyway. I think they way we're doing it now is working great and don't see a need to change. I just don't agree that Pollard is too small. He makes some tough runs and breaks a lot of tackles. But he has a skill set and a place to be used that's working.

Defense was tired coming out 20-3 at the half or did zeke make them tired?

Zeke was featured in the 2nd half, not the first.

And if you noticed, on many of the runs, they flip flopped the runs. They had Zeke running a lot of outside stuff that was normally for Pollard and had Pollard running up the middle more than they usually do. It was is if they were trying to fool the defense. Not sure if they noticed and trend or thought they were becoming predictable in that way.

Zeke didn't look that fast last night, to be honest. He had a nice open-field cutback on the TD run, but the difference in explosiveness between him and Pollard is so obvious.

I have been as big of a fan of Elliott as anyone, but it seems as though he is nothing but a big, short yardage plodding back at this point. He doesn’t seem to have the burst anymore to take it to the house on a long run. This fact seems to enable defenders to really stack the box on Elliott.

Anyone else see it this way, or does Moore limit Zeke’s upside by stubbornly running him between the tackles like Garrett? Or is this just game planning to wear defenses down?

Not looking very efficient from my point of view regardless of the reason. I could see Pollard being saved until the post season and then getting the lions share of the touches in the playoffs.

Zeke had 6.1 yards/carry in the Eagles game plus a 14-yard run for a TD...

Old Zeke looked like "old Zeke" yesterday. Could've had 20+ carries 120+ yards if not for the three interceptions.

One of Zeke's biggest assets coming out of college was his patience. Waiting for the play to develop and blocking to set up before hitting the hole. In his first couple years, it was a thing of beauty to watch. Sometimes it felt like an eternity before he turned the jets on, but on the replay you could see what he did. His RB vision is as good as I had ever seen.

Having a RB with that kind of vision and an offensive line that was elite was a pleasure to watch. Zeke was as football smart as they come and had the natural ability as well. Also a very smart man. He seen the Cowboys were gonna run him into the ground and got paid while his value was at it's apex. I can't blame him for that.

Back to his vision. On the plays where he's not met in the backfield you can still see him being patient waiting for the hole to materialize. I just don't think he has the burst to hit it like he used to, being a little slower in burst is enough to change the whole play. And to me, the falling forward almost looks like he's surprised he got through without getting hit.

It's too bad he lost it so quick, with his vision and all around elite skills, he could have been an all time great. But I guess you could say that about a lot of players.

He had enough to get to the edge on that TD in Philly . The 21 20 combo is a good one as long as the OLine does it’s job .

I for one was happy for Elliott's plodding. He was the main reason why we moved the ball last night. This was his best game in the last 2 to 3 years.

I mentioned in another thread he could be a Mike Alstott type player. Highly involved. He can catch. He can block. Forget the paycheck and use him in the most effective way.
