Zeke is one of our best performers this season, he is not our biggest problem or a problem of any sort for that matter.
Not sure what Elliott you were watching Sunday night but he made Philly defenders looks slow and stupid on that 13-yard TD.I have been as big of a fan of Elliott as anyone, but it seems as though he is nothing but a big, short yardage plodding back at this point. He doesn’t seem to have the burst anymore to take it to the house on a long run. This fact seems to enable defenders to really stack the box on Elliott.
Anyone else see it this way, or does Moore limit Zeke’s upside by stubbornly running him between the tackles like Garrett? Or is this just game planning to wear defenses down?
Not looking very efficient from my point of view regardless of the reason. I could see Pollard being saved until the post season and then getting the lions share of the touches in the playoffs.
Did you really start this thread after watching him get so many yards most backs wouldn't have gotten against the Eagles? He was getting hit behind the LoS and breaking multiple tackles, using some spin moves I've never seen from him, and turning losses and one yard gains into 7 to 10 yards. (I don't know the actual numbers, but he was fighting like a champ.)I have been as big of a fan of Elliott as anyone, but it seems as though he is nothing but a big, short yardage plodding back at this point. He could, but only if he didn't have to get a lot of the hard fought yards Zeke gets. Get him in the open and he could play all day long, but I doubt his body could handle a full workload.Could he be more ?
Yes, but that's why they have different roles.Zeke didn't look that fast last night, to be honest. He had a nice open-field cutback on the TD run, but the difference in explosiveness between him and Pollard is so obvious.
What’s next? “Turpin is slow” thread?!?……

Unless they mean having someone actually grab on enough to slow him down, then he breaks loose...but even then, I think I saw 3 on one run.The number of broken tackles thing always puzzles me. When I looked at Zeke's number on pro-football-reference they have him down for 3 broken tackles all season. I had him with that many on one RUN Sunday night. They credited him with only one on Sunday which boggles the mind given the number of times we saw him shake off a defender and keep chugging ahead.. I am going to have to go look at his runs again because that just doesn't seem right.
Zeke helps make them tired. You gave forgotten how that works because of your zeke hate and a stubborn km.i thought this was his best game in a year. Was better coming off the bench in the 2nd half when defense is tired.
Again....dude.....this is the way a power back works. Usually moore makes dak pass 40 times from that point on. Couldnt do it with cooper.I like Zeke but his big night didn't really get started until the game was 20-3. I think he had like 4 rushes for 15 yards in the first half. Now weather that was because the Eagles backed off to defend any big plays or what, I can't say without rewatching it but we didn't really have a ton of success in the first half at all.

I love, love Tony Pollard but he can't do all the little things that Zeke can. They are best left as a tandem. I think Moore could be better using them both but that's me.I have been as big of a fan of Elliott as anyone, but it seems as though he is nothing but a big, short yardage plodding back at this point. Age is a cruel mistress.Wow. Did Cox have money on the Cowboys covering the spread or what?!
This is what I mean by I don't understand how they score broken tackles..
First drive after the first INT and the Eagles score to go up 14-0
1st and 10 at the Cowboys 25.
Handoff to Zeke off right guard. Peters pulls but is too slow getting there so 57 knifes through and hits Zeke 2 yards deep in the backfield.. Zeke shakes him off and plows ahead for 2. How is that not a broken tackle?
49 seconds left in the half
3rd and 1 at the Philly 21..
Delay handoff to Zeke off left tackle. Zeke is hit in the thigh pads at the 19 yard line.. keeps his balance stays on his feet down to the 11. Again why is that not a broken tackle?
9:05 left in the 3rd quarter
2nd and 5 at the Philly 19
Handoff up the middle to Zeke.. the DE crashes and beats the tight end and has hands on Zeke 2 yards deep in the backfield. Zeke spins away and goes for 7. Maybe this one counts as a broken tackle?
6:43 left in the 3rd
2nd and 10 at the Dallas 7
Shotgun handoff off tackle left. Their RDE grabs Zeke by a leg at the 10 yard line..
Zeke steps out of it and drags three Eagles to the 15 yard line.. No broken tackle here?
By the way I still don't know why they blew this play dead with the pile still moving forward to the first down marker.
The very next play
3rd and 2 at the Dallas 15
Shotgun handoff at right guard. Zeke is met in the hole by #22 at the line of scrimmage.

Zeke runs right through him and picks up 5.

Notice that #22 is left on the ground back at the 15 yard line while two other guys tackle Zeke at the 20. How is THAT not a broken tackle?
15 seconds left in the 3rd
2nd and 14 at the Philly
Shotgun handoff middle. #7 wraps Zeke up at the 23 yard line.

Zeke spins away leaving him holding nothing but his towel and continues on to the 11.
I'm going to need someone to splain to me why that's not a broken tackle.
6:36 left in the 4th
2nd and 8 at the Dallas 27 ..
Deep one back set handoff middle. The Eagles plug it so Zeke bounces it outside left. #43 grabs him with one arm (like that's going to work) at about the line of scrimmage.
https://twitter.com/ronnietee24/status/1582468455994773505/photo/1
Zeke tears that arm off and keeps chuggin and takes it to the 37 for 10. Again what does the scorekeeper consider that if not a broken tackle?
By my count that's at least 7 broken tackles to that point.. And even if you don't count the ones where the defender just got a hand on him.. The one where he ran over 22 and stepped out of the leg tackle as well as the one where #7 had both arms around him are undeniable. There is nothing else you can call those but broken tackles. When I watch these and I then read the "official scorekeeper" numbers I wonder if some of them aint mad about Zeke's contract like so many "fans" here.
I agree with you, but still photos don't make a lot of impact. Lol
He’s still as fart as pollard.
