Because i've never seen someone be so hated for not even causing that big of a stir in the first place.

No one outside of the Dallas fanbase would even know about this.

It's the No. 3 headline on ESPN.com's front page, No. 2 on ESPN.com's NFL page and the NFL story with the second-most comments on ESPN.com (behind only the preseason rankings that have been on the site for seven weeks).

Yep, only Cowboys fans even know about this.

Not to mention I caught part of the national ESPN radio a few minutes ago, and the host (Jeff Rickert?) was going on and on about this story -- how it's always some kind of trouble with us, how we're one of those franchises that can't get out of its own way, etc. He even worked in a Tom Jackson "13 Pro Bowlers" shot.

So thanks, Greg... But it also doesn't help that Irvin's claim to fame is (obviously) our team, and he knows guys still on the team, so naturally he's going to get interviews with them. And those are going to be blown up like a blimp on BSPN.

Yeah, I've already had co-workers e-mail about it laughing.

I was just about to say, Bradie is on for extended time today and tomorrow and it's about 99.99% sure that something Bradie says will make national headlines in the next couple of days, and obviously not positive ones.

Just watch.
The scary thing is I think they said he will be on for two hours.

Just listened to the whole interview...WOW...Ellis is such a little b**tch. Can you believe this guy was a "team leader"???

Want to know why this team has been so damn soft? Because our young guys were looking up to candy ***** like Greg Ellis. Thank god he's off this team.

When you think about it, Ellis is accusing Ware of compromising the integrity of the game. Of course, he dresses it up as Ware being "selfless" or "doing an old warhorse a favor," but the conclusion is the same. He also had to know that this revelation would create a mini-firestorm, putting his so-called "friend" in a terrible spot, while he blissfully continues his vacation without a care in the world. With friends like these ...

I haven't caught all of this, but sounds like Bradie isn't backing up Greg.

Bradie's trying his best not to throw Greg under the bus, but he basically is. "Greg left and he's just disgruntled."

So basically, this is Ellis' way of telling the world again how important he was to the team, and that the players had to pull shenanigans for poor Greggy Weggy to not have his reps reduced by those evil coaches who were trying to push him out the door.

I'm now approaching Boozeman levels of Ellis hate.

Even if Ellis is right about this, it only makes me appreciate Dallas finally cutting him. If Ware was having to take himself off the field for Ellis to get playing time, then it shows his whining was a distraction. We don't need a player here who forces the best player we've got to be concerned about playing time.

Three plays in Game 14 against New York -- With 7:50 left in the third quarter, Ware came out for two plays and was replaced by Ellis on second and third downs.

Aha! Proof that Ellis was right.

Even if these were the only two plays where Ware did what Ellis said (and I'm not saying they were), it wouldn't surprise me to see it get blown out of proportion like it has.

Ellis seems to not mind using the art of exaggeration to make himself look like a victim or sympathetic figure.

Brady James also said that it's "impossible to hide when you're D-Ware"..."even the birds know where he is". In other words, Greg Ellis is a whiny, b...you get the idea. I knew it had to be B.S.

I am so glad that Ellis is gone. I've tried to take the high road, and wish him luck, but I can't be happier that he is gone. He may have been a bigger cancer than Pacman was. Pacman caused a lot of "reporters" chasing players around for a quote, but it had to get really annoying within the locker room to hear Ellis whining all the time. The good thing is we'll see him on thanksgiving day. We'll see how "good" he is then. I hope he doesn't take a play off.

It really is. I've been tough on Bradie in the past before for not being a great interview, but he's done great today. I'm just sorry I had to miss about 30 minutes of it in the middle.

I'm listening to the audio right now. Ellis has said numerous times that the played "about 10 plays" in our blowout loss to the Giants. According to Pro Football Focus, he played 34 plays, including 10 of the first 11.

He also said he was "dropping into coverage the majority of the time" in that game. According to PFF, he dropped into coverage four times.

I think that was the game that Spencer flat out replaced him on first and second down, because Ellis was continuing to get trucked in run defense.

Ware played all but 29 snaps last season -- 986 out of 1015. That's 97.14 percent.

Thirteen of those plays came at the end of the Seattle game after Ware got hurt, leaving 16 plays that he missed in the rest of the season.

Come back here.

That's one big hole in the middle of Greg's Wild Adventure.
