I love Emmitt, and obviously the guy has the right to say what he wants. Come on, though. What was it again that Romo did that was so wrong? Went to a supposedly secluded area with his teammate & their girls and kicked back? Wow, what a party animal. If it weren't for some celebrity seeking poparotsy(sp), no one would have been the wiser.

I'll just bet that another player on the team did something even wilder. AFA I see it, Romo handles himself like a consumate pro wherever he goes. He just happens to be dating another celebrity. He's been playing at golf tourneys for years, it's just now that he's the starter, everyone's questioning everything he does. If this is the worse we'll ever see of Tony Romo, I say thank God.

Compared to the other things that went on under Parcells and Johnson (Taylor and Irvins hijinx), how could anyone say that Romo is not "old school" like the rest?

Checkout todays Sportscenter. emmit said it. no i dont have a link. Emmit did not like what he did at all. just like i did not like it.and dont tell me Emmit is a cowboy hater.

So can you provide any evidence at all, that Romo was the only guy that did not have "some off" time?

I mean, we know that dating Jessica Simpson and playing some of these golf events garner much attention by the media.

If QB X was involved in a new business deal, or did some serious hunting, fishing, taking up a new hobby; could you provide proof that they spent more time working on their craft than Romo?

Of course not. I have already called you on this and to my knowledge you have yet to provide even a hint of proof.

Bottom line the things Romo does draws media attention. Going on a hunting trip (as an example) draws zero media attention.

So again, can you confirm or deny that the other QBs have worked on their craft more or less than Romo.

Nope all you got is a few snippets of video of Romo out on the town with Jessica or at a Golf tournament.

Would you rather have a settled ROMO in a steady relationship or would you rather the OLD Romo that was dating multiple women as he was late summer & early fall before he settled with Jessica. I think any man in a settled relationship opens himself more time also for being able to give the extra time to his sport. He is less likley to party as much & we know now that Jessica has a pretty heavy tour schedule that leaves Tony the time to spend studying & not being pre-occupied.

So the guy has been with Jessica going on 9 months now. It seems to be stabalizing & so what he hasn't done anything the others haven't done. Do we think all the other players are friggin monks here. The more TONY gives you teh more you want from him. Tony has to lead Tony's life as he see's it & not thorugh your glasses. Tony knows what makes him happy & settled you & I don't. Right now he is pretty settled.
On another note Tony gets a lot of attention because he is a one of a kind athelete that can play several sports at a very high level. How many out there that can. I would say that with more practice & football caves for him you will see him play professional golf.
Lets leave the man to pursue his dreams his way. he plays for his dream team, he purused in his opinion (back to 2006 remember) his dream woman & his final dream is to win the super bowl. Who the frig are we to kill his dreams because of selfishness as f so called fans. Tony knows what Tony has to do. Lay off & let him do it.

All these could'a, should'a, & would'a fans, journalists & commentators would love to be living Tony's life right now so if they tell you different its all BS just like half the crap they post.

Here is the challenge to anyone who claims Romo was not dedicated enough this off-season. All you have to do is fill in the blanks with accurate information and not based upon what you choose to believe because it fits your agenda.

Romo has spent _______ (days/hours) not enhancing his craft this offseason.

_____ (days/hours) is an acceptable amount of hour spent during an offseason not enhancing one's craft.

Eli Manning...the reigning Super Bowl QB spent _____ (days/hours) not enhancing his craft this offseason.

Peyton Manning the previous reigning Super Bowl QB spent _____ (days/hours) not enhancing his craft this offseason.

Tom Brady the only QB in the league with 3 Super Bowls spent _____ (days/hours) not enhancing his craft this offseason.

The average QB in the league spent _____ (days/hours) not enhancing their craft this offseason.

Anyone that knows Romo has not been dedicated enough this offseason should be able to answer those questions with some authority and their source for the information.

If you can not, you might as well assume that you really have no idea what all Romo did this offseason and you certainly can not put into perspective compared to what the other QBs did this offseason.

Emmit just said on ESPN what i posted the other day. that if BP were the coach, Romo would not have spent his offseason running around with Jessica simpson and doing other things. Big Bill didn't stop Lawerence Taylor from snorting cocaine all year round, so why should we believe he would stop Romo from dating Jessica? You need to get a clue

Romo either has it or he doesnt. What he does in the offseason and who he dates has nothing to do with his ability to QB this team. So far, Romo as the starting QB is 0-2, and the criticism will continue.

If Jessica and him break up, the critics are just going to find another excuse (example: He sings too much or he visits his family too much) on why he cant win the big one. Romo can easily silence everyone. The ball is in his hands. He can quiet those who say he plays too much golf, or spends too much time with Jessica, by playing better football in Dec, Jan. Feb, winning playoffs games, and of course bringing us a freakin' SUPERBOWLS!!

Until then, being unfair as it may, Tony is just going to have to deal with it and prove he can be a winner. He either has it (like Jordan, Tiger, and Brady do) or he just doesnt and it has nothing to do with his girlfriend or the attention she brings with her.
