Ya know at the beginning of this season I was thinking that the Cowboys didn't have much fan fare in the off season with low expectations and no big splash free agents signings and I got to thinking this would be the season they got to the Super Bowl. I'm not punching their ticket I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me that they would go all the way by not being highly touted and expected by the media to do so this season. Hopefully what Diehard Blues says comes true.
I agree. Many fans were touting how good the defense could be . But I must admit while I saw that Parsons was going to be a star I didn’t anticipate this level of impact nor this great of defense .

I love Al Green, Barry White, Spinners, Commodores, Isley Brothers, etc., but I favor rock. Love guitar. New Edition?!? Sorry, no. Like some old school rap—Snoop, Coolio, Beastie Boys, Fun Lovin’ Criminals…
Wow. Quite a variety of genres there.

Yeah, I go with the Diamond Dave era too, but I still LOVE some Sammy stuff like Pleasure Dome, Black and Blue, and Don’t Tell Me.

My music is varied—Sabbath, Zeppelin, Kiss, Queen and Pink Floyd to Soundgarden and Alice In Chains and STP to Steely Dan and Tom Petty to Queens of the Stone Age, King’s X, and Monster Magnet. Check out my radio station: guitargodradio.com
Some of those I haven’t even heard of . Not sure what that means, your own radio station. Is that like Pandora or do you own a radio station??

The problem with all first-year-wonders is can they stay healthy.

RG3, Wentz, Saquon Barkley, LVE, etc. are just a few of the NFC East "going to change everything" players who showed glimpses of something special their first year only to get injured and never live up to the expectations their team's fans had.

Parsons is an amazing player, one of the best defensive push rushers I have seen in a very long time, but here we are in year two and he is already dealing with injuries.

As I said last season, as great as Parsons is I will hold the anointing oil through 3 seasons before labeling him as destined for the HoF.

I greatly admire his ability to perform at a high level through injuries and sickness so far.

While the Cowboys defense is good even without Parsons, there is no question he elevates their defense every play he is on the field.

I'm not holding any anointing oil. I'm swimming in it. Like Burt Reynolds in Striptease, I'm feeling it squishing in my boots.

I don't know if you fully read my post, but it's not about his ability. I openly stated how impressed I am with his ability. It's a matter of whether he can stay healthy. Again, go back and read my full post and it will make more sense.

Nah, I didn't it all. Just saying I have no worries about an injury he played through.

I’m not sure I’d argue Parsons has as much surrounding talent as we had in 70’s and 90’s.
definitely debatable. Too tall, Dutton, Harvey Walls waters, Harris, Hollywood, they were a special group.

Yes they were loaded .

And the original Doomsday had HOFamers Lilly, Renfro, Adderly and soon to be named Howley. And that doesn’t include other All Pros and or Pro Bowlers like George Andre, Lee Roy Jordan and Cornell Green.

Here is a sick thought.....

Suppose one of the CB's had been available to draft because Denver chose Davonta Smith.

The trade with Philadelphia would have been unnecessary. So now the Eagles have the 12th overall pick. Again, Davonta Smith is gone.

In this alternate universe Micah Parsons is an Eagle playing alongside Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave and Josh Sweat.

Not only did Jerry want somebody else, when they were on the clock, they traded down. Did Jerry even deserve to get lucky?

Who do we presently have in the HOF at linebacker?

If the other ten teams ahead Jethro passed on Parsons what're they
If anyone knew exactly what Parsons would become he would have been selected first or at least higher up.

It happens all of the time a player turning out much better than expected. Sometimes you just get lucky.

We can say it’s about time .
