Here?

For some people, it's all they have!

And I'm not interested.

If people want to deal in the truth, I'm happy to.

But little patience for baseless nonsense.

He was released from the Texans after he failed a physical. There is a reason why KC is dumping him after one year, and it's not for cap reasons because they have plenty of it. This is the kind of guy people want to open the check book for, while simultaneously mocking Jerry Jones for signing Marco Rivera and Leonard Davis in free agency in other threads. Now they'll mock Jerry Jones because we didn't sign a 30 year old guy with what looks to be a degenerative condition who's been released in two consecutive offseasons. Maybe we can get him next year when he's looking for his 4th employer in 4 years.

His brother is a college scout with the Dolphins. He played in Miami. He's perfect for their ZBS. If they don't sign him, you know there is something majorly wrong.

Actually that's a pretty good point.

I think we already know there's 'something majorly wrong' in Miami already.

Strengths

The good news is that Eric Winston should come relatively cheap. With Kansas City, he was averaging somewhere in the region of $5 million a year. This year, he may not reach that. The draft is rich with offensive tackles, and the free agency market is pretty deep too. In short, Winston won't likely break the bank. That's good news if Ireland wants to sign an expensive free agent wide receiver.

In terms of play on the field, the 29 year old also had a decent year. He yielded only three sacks the entire season and was rated as the 9th best right tackle in the NFL by Pro Football Focus.

From a scheme standpoint, Winston makes good sense for the Dolphins. He's pretty athletic for a right tackle, and has experience playing in the zone blocking system during his time with the Houston Texans. If I were asked to name three words that would explain Eric Winston, it would be experience, durability and reliability. He's played in all sixteen regular season games for the past six seasons.

Weaknesses

I've found it difficult to find a weakness to Eric Winston's game. The only one I can think of is the fact that this is the second time he's been cut by a team in the space of a year (the first being with the Houston Texans at the end of last season). Coincidence?

96 consecutive starts.

As I said I think he is worth taking a look at. It is reported Washington, Philly and Maimi will be taking a look. I would not mind seeing the Cowboys do the same. Not claiming he solves all problems but it is a start at the right price.

Doomsday should know since he lives in Houston but didn't the Texans cut him because of a cap issue?

Heck even the Texans may look to bring him back or at least that has been reported.

Heard that too.

Says a lot to me.

It tells me they are not worried about some injury history and based on what I have seen from that there is no issues.

Now the big one is in terms of contract and what we may be able to offer vs these other teams.

Tells me they're sorry they let him go in the first place!
