I think as a fan base, some need to come to the realization that the majority of FAs are not going to give a discount to play for the Cowboys.

There might be a player who has been a Cowboy all along and might do it. There might be a player that has been a cowboys fan all their life and is offered a contract that is pretty close to the next one, or you might have someone that lives in texas and wants to be home with his family or retire here.

But for the most part FA players are looking to secure their financial future and will by and large take the best monetary deal they can get.

I think people really need to wake up from the idea that a FA will give a good discount to play with the cowboys. It can happen but it is now the exception and far from the rule. This is not the mid nineties and we are not in the middle of a dynasty.

The Cowboy discount days are over. I wouldn't give the Cowboys a discount and I am a fan. At one time I would have gave them a discount if I was a player. I wouldn't even consider it now.

I think some would disagree on the Parnell turnstile comment, there has been a lot of tape that has been studied that says Parnell improved and just needed the reps he has the ability and power and strength. So I wouldn't be so quick to just throw a homegrown guy to heap pile just yet.

We could keep Parnell as a backup. I don't think he could beat out Winston. I just know we need to improve the OL, and Winston is probably the best chance we will have to do that.
