News: ESPN Analyst Has Blunt Message For Dak Prescott, Cowboys

That shows your complete bias as well as anything I've seen and there have been some real obviously biased posts you've made. Nothing short of Dak winning a SB or 4 will make you change your mind about him at this point. It's sad you cannot enjoy the fact that the Cowboys are not in QB purgatory.

Now THIS is a GREAT point: QB purgatory.

At least we are arguing about whether or not Dak is top ten or better than Brad Johnson (thats hilarious, btw) because we could EASILY be arguing about whether we shouldn't have drafted Osweiler and should now be trading for (bite my tongue) Aaron Rodgers.

Can you imagine that? As the French would say: Le yuck.

LOL........right, because my question was too complicated for you?

That "who is better" stuff is just too straight forward. :lmao2::lmao2::lmao::lmao:

So if Dak is "easily" better than Brad Johnson, then how did Brad Johnson win a SB?
There are no boundaries for your vast logic.

I find Dak to have

Is he a team leader, a leader of men... I believe so, and one of his greatest attributes.
Is he the franchise QB that can lead this team to a conference title/SB .. I cant answer that at this point.
More data is required
In other words until the Cowboys win a championship with Dak you won’t know if he’s enough. Which takes no knowledge insight , instinct or vision.

Unfortunately you can’t build or run a franchise with that mindset. You must believe he is enough and build around them the best you can. And hope your competition doesn’t build a team better.

Brad Johnson lead a team to the SB and so did Flacco. Wilson won the SB throwing for about 150 yards per game as a rookie.

I can answer that 100%. Dak, Romo, ect...... are all good enough to win SB's. But like the rest, they need a SB team around them.

Dak already showed as a rookie that if he is surrounded by quality talent he could get the team to 13-3 and the 2nd round. Dak is way better than he was as a rookie.
Yep. And that’s all you can do. These other fans are waiting to validate QB’s after they’ve won a championship. How tough is that . Lol

You can’t do that unfortunately when you’re building a team. No one knows when you draft a guy. There’s no guarantees. You have to build a team around them.

These others are basically trolling when they say until he wins a championship he’s not worthy. That mentality is everyone’s a loser until they win one. Just can’t build teams with that mindset.

History has proven time and time again where QB’s with the abilities and success Romo and Dak had could be enough. Could greater QB’s enhance our chances, of course but that’s not the cards we’ve been dealt. You have to build around what you have. And these two QB’s have displayed they were enough to invest that in.

Not everyone gets a Mahomes or Rodgers. But even they aren’t a guarantee to winning every year. It’s always about building around what you have.

I can live with that, I just don't get the criticism before we even play a game..... I'm not dissing you, just don't agree...Salud!

If “he takes the next step” and wins us a SB I will be first in line cheering. I just don’t think he can

when Dak and Zeke started in 2016 I thought we really had something but then they just became company men like Romo

the glitz got to them

it’s not their fault
It is the new Cowboy way

Dak as a player has been bad against playoff teams also. 'The stats do not lie.

Here's a little snippet from an article after the horrible 2019 season that you can easily find by Googling "Dak vs Playoff Teams"

"Last season, the Cowboys went 8-8 while Prescott threw 30 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. However, 22 of those TDs, and just 3 of those INTs, came against teams that missed the postseason. Prescott led the team to a 7-2 record in such contests. However, when facing teams that made the playoffs, the Cowboys went a miserable 1-6, and Prescott tossed 8 scores and 8 picks."
Those are the facts and what he needs to improve on to earn that salary.

We should really be talking about what kind of team Dak needs so he can win.

And what we've seen is non elite qb's really need to be able to lean on their defense and St. It's why lesser qb's sometimes win a SB while Marino couldn't. Guys like eli and flacko couldn't win on a team like ours but they'd have good numbers. They needed defenses on fire, couples with today's game where even bad offenses can find ways to score that is the recipe for most teams without that elite QB.

ESPN is a sinking ship and Orlovsky is Gilligan. The dude is dead to me.

Yeah, exactly. We're supposed to take advice from a guy who stepped out the back of the end zone on an 0-16 team? Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaatt! What's that? He has a man crush for Wince? Oh! I guess that means he knows what he's talking about.

He'll probably get all puffy chest and lose a posting bet again and he'll be gone for a minute like last time.
We should appreciate his brief times here.

Him yelling stupid stuff at the wind like an old man getting angry that his pee is hitting him in the face because the wind is stronger than his stream.

Hahahahaha! Nice one! It is good to see Pappy I suppose For that reason.

That's easy. A 2016-2018 type of team. The running game should come before the passing game for Dak to succeed.

Dak has never lead the Cowboys to the playoffs unless Zeke won the rushing title that year.

Ya'll keep talking about Flacco. Do ya'll realize that the year the Ravens won the Super Bowl he probably had the best playoff run EVER for a QB? He threw or 1,100 yards, 11 TDs, and 0 INTS during that playoff run!

Is Dak better than Brad Johnson? :muttley:

Poor little troll cant answer a simple question.

I can answer that. They are similar in how they play. In Johnson's era most coaches reined in their QB's. So even though Johnson had the arm to push the ball down the field, he played it safe & kept the offense moving. Overall skill and accomplishments would go to Johnson.
ie, they are both average to above average NFL QB's who can be in contention given the right circumstances. Difference is that Johnson has achieved the objective.
