News: ESPN Analyst Has Blunt Message For Dak Prescott, Cowboys

Take every team with a defense ranked in the bottom third of the league and see their record against teams with winning records. If "Dak's" record is still worse than the other QB's in the same situation, I'll be convinced he's the problem.

I still think he made a mistake taking that sort of contract, but his play on the field isn't the reason we have a losing record against winning teams.

Daks only played with a bottom third of the league defense 4 1/2 games of his career.

Cowboys are 5-13 led by Dak against playoff teams.
That is our reality. No matter how Dak pads his numbers, the jump from bus driver to elite has not yet been achieved.
We are middle of the pack, just phoning it in to fans, be they Spagnola cheerleaders or workaday louts who save up for cheap seats and a $20 parking fee and $25 pizzas and $10 beers.

With the kind of defense we had our offense had to score every possession and that too TDs to win games. ( our defense was famous for NOT making the other team punt at all ). With playoff caliber teams you cant afford to do that .

If we get an average to decent defense , that will be a shot in the arm by itself. Then we can play some possession foot ball, score a bit and run the ball take time off the clock etc.

But 2 things have to improve in offense immediately, ( Not counting OL , fingers crossed ) we need to start scoring early and our redzone needs to improve, we cant afford to struggle to score TDs after going all the way to redzone ( come on Kellen Moore and McCarthy ) .

I have been miserable under Dak teams for 3 years now. What is the diff, Cheryl?
I am in it for the sports entertainment value, but it appears you are in it for vindictive and I-Told-You-So reasons.

Yup. D beats good teams/good QB's. Not the opposing QB. Eli beat Brady twice in the super bowl. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Just like Screamin’ A Smith and Shannon Sharpe, they give oxygen to these guys ‘Dallas hater’ acts. Rather than watching people with informed and supported opinions, they get triggered by hearing the worthless opinions of an NFL never-was.

NONE of my friends as long as I can remember are talking Super Bowl, and I don't see it on here either.....why do they (Stephen A) keep perpetuating this S, other than to get Cowboy haters more riled up? Or, did I just answer my own question? I know for a fact that the haters actually believe all this crap they hear and read. Just like they personally still blame Cowboy fans 40+ years later for the "Americas Team" label.... its just maddening.

Always been a huge supporter of the Mod's meme of Respect is earned in the Playoffs.

Whatever role the starting QB plays in attaining that is opinion I guess.

Mine is that the starting QBs role in achieving playoff success is the most important role regardless of his support.

The best tend to consistently win regardless of ideal personnel circumstances.

My opinion.

And in the late 3rd and 4th quarters when we’re down by 17-20 because we’ve had to settle for FG’s in the red zone and the other team has gone into prevent.

Dak has a passer rating of 103.2 (2016) and 91.3 (2018) during his career's seasons' playoffs. Dak has not been the problem come playoff time when it's mattered the most.
