Ah...the fg snap?

THAT is your line in th sand. Lotta websites warned me of people like you...that use that ONE play to crucify Romo. I never though they existed.

You do exist.

You actually love Eli more than Romo.

What the entire ****** f is going on here.
The fumbled FG snap as a criticism of Romo as a QB is about as lame as “Derr…they have the same playoff record, therefore they’re both chokers.”

It tells me people don’t even know one of the most well-know logical fallacies: false equivalence.

Yep, his career is on the exact same path. He’ll end his career just like Romo, not accomplishing a darn thing. The Jones family keeps making money and Dallas keeps going on without a NFC title game appearance.

I don’t like Eli but I do respect his ability to step his game up in two Super Bowl years. How can you not?

Look up what a choker is and Romo’s picture will come up. Maybe Daks too.

Why ESPN has to keep talking about the Cowboys after they have been eliminated. Are the other teams really that boring or not enough fans to get enough ratings.

Who still watches ESPN anyway?

Good point on Ryan. Put the Manning one down, but didn't catch the Ryan NFC Champ. game.

I don't have time to go through all of them, but the ones I did list with long careers.... what is disturbing is that the ones who did take 7-10 years to finally get to a Conference Championship never went to a Super Bowl anyways.

Dak is a good guy, hard not to like him and want the best, but we're talking HUGE outlier now at this point in his career. We will be breaking another record if Dak goes to the SB.

Ignoring consecutive years as starter, Jim Plunkett might be the only one I can think of that went so long before a SB? Didn't look at his record.
It is a risk for sure and especially if we are talking about if a younger player can come in and give us a better shot. Reality is that we probably should have won more by this point even if not a SB. I gotta say that I wanted a ring for Witten and Romo but it never came. Much uncertainty right now because while I think we can, our cards may not align like it did this year again. Got faith in the kid at least for the moment and we see what happens but our entire team needs to figure out simply how to show up and our coaches gotta put them in the best position.

" Why Dak Prescott has become the Cowboys' new Tony Romo"

If only.
Tony was the guy who carried the team for years and gave us a chance to pull it out if the rest of the team could keep it close.
Dak is the guy who gets confused and digs us a big hole we can't climb out of.
With Tony we'd get beat because the opposing pass rush would dominate our oline.
With Dak we get beat when because the opposing secondary dominates Dak.

The fumbled FG snap was not Romo's only choke job.

There's no logical fallacy comparing the results of the Romo and Dak eras which are virtually identical. Both underachieve and both came up small far too many times in games that ended the season.

You: "Durr... I'm a midwit who's going to claim a valid comparison is a logical fallacy."

Putting Dak aside for just a moment, I had no idea Peyton Manning was only 3-6 in the playoffs before his Super Bowl run.

Perception vs. reality at play here. Nobody ever portrayed Manning as a postseason choker even though the raw data could have supported it.
Um... EVERYONE portrayed Payton Manning as a postseason choker at the time. Literally, EVERYONE.

Yes it is that logical fallacy ignorant one. It’s taking a superficial similarity and then applying it to two different and more complex contexts and then saying “they’re the same”.

How many times are people going to just repeat this nonsense that a fumbled special teams’ snap is some sort of QB related “choke job”?

“Durr…I don’t know what the logical fallacy is and I’m just going to throw out more generalities proving the person’s point.”

He carried the team to nothing. Some years no playoffs at all lol. Y’all speak so highly of Romo like he’s Brady. He’s not even Eli let’s be for real.

Can Dak redeem himself? Based on NFL history, not looking good. The ESPN Article quote is wrong. Warren Moon went longer then Ken Anderson as starter without a Super Bowl. Andy Dalton was only long-term QB I could find who never made it past Wild Card.

Wildcard Round started in 1978. The big difference now vs then is more teams are in WC Round, but fewer teams start in the Divisional Game with a bye week. A lot of the 80's QBs below skipped the WC Round, which helped them get to Conference Championship, but still have 1-1 playoff seasons like Dak.

Unfortunately both QB’s have propped up our franchise preventing Jethro from hitting rock bottom which is probably only way to potentially bring real change as we witnessed after the 5-11 Funk.

We are in this perpetual spinning wheel cycle which enables our dysfunctional ownership to stay their course with enough to hype and promote hope.

Eli would have had this roster in the NFCCG at least. I have 0 doubt about that.
Eli was the luckiest athlete on the face of this Earth. He would just chuck the ball up and he had 2-3 GREAT receivers that would plain go get it. 2 bruising RBs with a big o-line. And a real defense.

Giving eli that much credit is laughable. COmplete Joke.

I wasn’t a big Eli fan either but he at least played some of his best ball in the playoffs. Much like Flacco with Ravens.
