ESPN: DeMarco Murray exits Eagles practice; MRI on hamstring set, source says

PHILADELPHIA -- DeMarco Murray, who has run for just 11 yards in his first two games with the Philadelphia Eagles, left practice Wednesday with a hamstring injury.

The severity of the injury was not known. He's expected to have an MRI on the hamstring, a league source told ESPN's Adam Caplan.

If he misses significant time this season due to injury it wouldn't surprise me in the least. Backs have a hard time after a season with as many touches as he had last year. Honestly, the fact that we gave him the ball so much last year was probably a pretty good indication that there wasn't any intention of bringing him back unless it was cheap enough to limit our risk.

.. and that's what I've been saying .. I like Murray and completely understand why he went for the money in Philly. I would have done the same thing if I were him. However, I don't blame the Cowboys at all for not overpaying him either. Running backs are too likely to get injured and their decline is usually without warning and abrupt.

You saw him out on that field on Sunday? He was a raging maniac three quarters of the time.
He looked like he was barely holding himself back from committing multiple personal fouls throughout the game.
He even got in one of his monster blocks by cold cocking a blitzing LB towards the end (I know that made him feel better for about 15 seconds).

I haven't seen anyone cheering. More like told ya so. His lively hood? Yeah he is guaranteed 21m, so I think he is set. Lastly not being upset because a guy pulled a hammy is 1000 light years removed from cheering when it looked like a guy was paralyzed.
