I think the problem with Murray is teams are focusing on him as a major threat to shut down, and with the philly line being so bad,
and Chip such a moron as OC he is being shut down totally.

and even if the eagles had AP they would not have done any better running the ball.

He only played because he was chasing a record and a contract. He got both so I bet he goes back to sitting with even the slightest ouchie.

no need to cheer for it, what's the gain? he's gone and he did what i would say most of us would do if we were honest. there were many of us who felt it was a matter of time before he was injured and i'm one of those. i'm also one of those who wanted us to keep him for continuity sake. so i'm either right twice, wrong twice, or right on one and wrong on the other.

It's human nature to give a bit more when money is on the table. I highly doubt the team recommended him to play 5 days after undergoing surgery on his hand. In a non-contract year, he probably takes the advice and sits out a week, at least. I don't fault him for that.

Murray's willingness to play thru pain has never been an issue. Some injuries you simply cant play through, which was the case in past years.

If he misses significant time this season due to injury it wouldn't surprise me in the least. Backs have a hard time after a season with as many touches as he had last year. Honestly, the fact that we gave him the ball so much last year was probably a pretty good indication that there wasn't any intention of bringing him back unless it was cheap enough to limit our risk.

Shouldn't the touches be increasing his strength and power - the body gets stronger through being put through fire.

It's pathetic that people are cheering Murray's injury. I am disgusted. Those of you who cheered are no better than those Philadelphia fans who cheered when Irvin was injured.

This is player's livelihood. He has done us no wrong.

I don't take the vast majority of chuckles and guffaws as CHEERING, more just a vindication of what they felt when we decided not to pay the man, and the whole world imploded about it.
