All of our best players have come from within. its mostly the players we tried to bring in that have not lived up to expectations.

Can't say that Dallas hasn't brought in high priced free agents, or haven't had high priced 1st/2nd round picks. Some have worked out (Columbo, Bigg, Kosier, Olshansky, Brooking, Flozell, Newman, Ware, Felix, Jenkins, Bennett), some haven'. Philly's had its share of hits and misses there too.

But what about our:

Pro Bowl starting QB? Rookie FA (Romo)
Our emerging WR? Rookie FA (Austin)
Our Pro Bowl Punter? Rookie FA (McBriar)
Our OTHER RB? Rookie FA (Choice)
Our Pro Bowl TE? 3rd rounder (Witten)
Our Pro Bowl RB? 4th rounder (Barber)
Our defensive team leader? 4th rounder (James)
Our Starting CB (sort of)? 5th rounder (Scandrick)
Our Pro Bowl kicker? 6th rounder (Folk)
Our starting FB? 6th rounder (Anderson)
Our "Clutch" WR (and KR/PR)? 7th rounder (Crayton)
Our Pro Bowl DT? 7th rounder (Ratliff)

Some of those guys are high priced because they've EARNED IT.
