I am hoping that the tweet from Mickey about Dez slipping and leaving practice early is not a flare up of the hammy.
jerry indicated that he wouldn't play ihope its not that he injured him self more would be a huge blow to the team.
As long as it's not for injury, good. And sit Romo while you're at it.
Romo has played one series all preseason and it amounted to nothing. He needs to play a half so he's sharp and ready to go on opening day. We can't afford to have him go out and throw 3 picks like he did in the opener last season and start 0-1 to a divisional opponent then have to rebound the following week in Philly.
I think that performance had more to do with not being able to practice because of his back. This camp he's practiced ALOT more and has according to the camp watchers, looked very sharp.
Right move.
Romo needs to work with guys like Street more than he does Dez. And if at least three of the five offensive linemen don't play, I don't want Romo out there either. In fact, if Tyron isn't ready, sit Romo.
I agree with that he didn't have a normal offseason last summer rehabbing his back and the Cowboys being cautious with him. That clearly contributed to his poor game on opening day however he has been held out of some practices this summer to give him some rest and he only attempted one pass in preseason. With the team not having looked good in preseason if the Cowboys sit Romo Saturday it will be 2 weeks before he plays his next game and that one will count. I'm my opinion that would be a very risky move because if the running game isn't what it was with Murray and Romo is forced to throw a lot on opening day that could lead to some real trouble. He and Dez haven't played in a game together since the Green Bay game in the playoffs and a game and practice are two different things. Trying to be too cautious could put the Cowboys in a big hole to start the season.

Agreed. And couple that with the fact he was a little ticked he didn't get to play more last week. So he probably plays at least a quarter or a quarter and a series. At least.
I agree and expect Romo to see some action this coming game.
