HH, do you get paid for every thread/post that includes hating on the Commanders just for the sake of hating? haha. I swear if the skins ever went 19-0 you would still call us frauds, or cheaters. haha.

No, however it is funny when you remember that the Commanders' history books are filled with ***************** :laugh2:

we're pretty use to paying too much for players around here by now
Until the fans voice that opinion loudly, it will probably continue.

More than anything if Jerry was doing that I would be on edge and ready to punch him if I saw him in person. It's a recipe for disaster. It's going to take down a Hall of Fame Head Coach and staff.

That's how bad an idea it is.

I like Campbell, but I think you guys paid too steep a price to get him. I for one wish you luck. I think he'll be an improvement over Brunnell, who you also paid too steep a price for. ;)

An improvement over Brunnell wouldnt take much, but thanks anyways.

I would be very interested in knowing whether this was a Snyder or Gibbs move. If, for nothing else, for the sheer drama a Snyder-only move would entail.

Unfortunately, I doubt we ever find out for sure.

honestly, I think it has more to do with saunders than anything. Saunders hasnt really liked brunell since he has been here, and has been wanting a change.

The best player in the best conference in America was drafted too high in the late first round?!

He wasnt even the 2nd best player in his own backfield, let alone the entire SEC

Commanders play 6 of their last 7 against NFC playoff hopefuls. If they start to play a little better, maybe they'll actually be helpful.

I think this move is about PR. The fans want it so let's give it to them. The skins have no chance to make the playoffs and Danny needs to find a way to keep attendance up for the over priced beers and hot dogs at fedex.

Stats wise Brunell hasn't been that bad. His QB rating is fairly high. The offense just plain sucks is what is the problem. I don't think it is a system that Campbell will suceed in. I really think they are setting him up for failure. What happens when the skins loose the next 7 games and have 1000 yards and 2 TD's and 20 Ints?

Yes. Just like we overpaid to take Q in the 2nd, you overpaid to jump up and take Campbell. He'd have been there in the 2nd round for you if you'd just have waited.

Oh and Ronnie Brown & Cadillac Williams were better on the same team and same backfield.

If that were the case he would have started long ago.

$60 mill wrapped up in 11 players. that pretty much sums it up

I liked Brunnell personally. I'd be excited to move on if I were in your shoes. 3 and half games ago I was in your shoes.

some things are meant to be....

if you are a Dallas fan, you hate the Skins and Eagles. Period.

You also hate the Giants, though that hate is usually not at the same level of the Skins and Eagles.

Depending on when you became a Dallas fan, you also despise Pittsburgh, San Fran & Green Bay and want them to lose at all costs...I fall into this category

I found an old 2000 Streets and Smith Pre-Season Magazine when cleaning out the garage and it said scouts were projecting Quincy Carter to skyrocket to the first pick in 2001! A head of Michael Vick or Tomlinson! Man what a crappy but amusing write up. Scouts were apparently in love with QC after his sophmore campaign.

That would feel like a knife in my side man.

I did too, i was one of his biggest defenders. I just dont think hes a good QB for this system. He doesnt look comfortable. He HAS to know how the fans have wanted him out for a while now, and im sure it has taken a toll on him. Hey with Brunell there were a lot of good memories...and of course some bad ones. We're starting a new chaptner now with Commanders/Cowboys.......2 new young QBs. Hopefully Campbell is the real deal.
