Nah. That's just my perception of a Garrett press conference.
Thanks, bro. But, I actually would have thought it was real coming from him.
lol

Wow!!!! A lot of unhappy fans in this thread. The sticky is clear when you login, "if you wanna follow another team please do so". Its as simple as that, move on and stop wasting your team here with the Cowboys. See ya!!! All that whining crying and moaning is soooo unnecessary. Smh!!!!
I hope these two guys can beat the eagles next week. then I hope they then lose to seattle. I hate the eagles and I do not like the saints but I hope that eagles lose first then the saints then after that I do not care who goes to the superbowl.
That's exactly what it is. There's something insulting about the way Garrett presents it.
And it doesn't help that the press lap it up and act as if he's dispensing these great truths to the unwashed masses.

I do not think they "lap it up", they really have no reason to go after him. Nor Jones really.
.
I suppose its all a matter of what part of the country you're in. Rex Ryan has been to (2) AFC Championship games in what? Something like five years as head coach of the jets? And Tom Coughlin has won (2) Super Bowls in something like the last seven years...and they both have been taking an extreme amount of heat from fans and the media. Many of which saying you cant bring either guy back as head coach. Now, if Tom Coughlin can get intense heat, I'd like to know why Jason Garrett cant.
NOTE...not really addressing this at you...anyone really.
What to expect next year:
JJT says only two other NFL teams have ended up 8-8 for three straight seasons. The year following those 3 seasons at .500, the Oilers were 13-3 and went to the Super Bowl. The Packers fell to 4-12.

Not taking heat?
Nearly every poster on this (and other) site wants his head on a stick.
Trust me, he's feeling it…big time.
So its official?
The "training" of young Garrett continues............................LOL
I don't count message boards. As much as I like this place, it is insignificant as far as putting heat on an owner or head coach. I am talking headlines in the major newspapers like "coughlin must go"....and these coaches being asked by multiple media outlets every day if they think they deserve another year. Oh and by the way, when they get a "non answer", they go right back with the same question until they are satisifed with the answer they get.
This doesnt happen in the Dallas media. They ask a question, Garrett or Jerry respond but give no real answer, and the media moves on to the next question.
On WFAN in NY I heard a guest on, who happened to be the GM of the NY Rangers...cant remember his name as I dont follow hockey. But the first question out of the host's mouth was.....
Help me out here, how in the world do you still have a job?
thats putting heat on.
He doesn't have anything of substance. He really doesn't.
He's a paint by numbers coach. Sure, can make out a practice schedule, install his offense, give press conferences, etc... All the routine things of being a coach. But that's all he knows. When it doesn't work, he doesn't know what to do other than more of the same. That's why he has nothing to offer as far as making any kinds of adjustments and nothing more in-depth than his bullet pointed list of cliches.
It's really time to put to rest this idea that he's so smart simply because he went to Princeton. As a coach and leader, he isn't smart. He's really quite empty.
Also, who else noticed the way he completely refused to answer any questions about scheme, players, or possible coaching changes for a few more days? I'm not talking about specifics, but his general thoughts on things. It's so clear that was because Jerry hasn't told him what they're doing yet.
We're in full late stage Al Davis mode, folks. Ugly times.
Does anyone have a link to the Press Conference?
