ESPN: Jerry Jones: Add four more teams to the playoffs

Step 1 -- Let ALL THE TEAMS into the playoffs.
Step 2 -- ???
Step 3 -- Championship! / Profit.

It would not surprise me if the league expanded the playoff field. There has been CBA enforced parity for 20 years. One of its objectives was for creating more excitement among fanbases of less successful franchises and it has paid off.

Overall, the NFL has been methodically watered down for two decades. Will another football purist viewpoint be enough to avoid another change to the so-called status quo? I doubt it.

It's all about the Benjamins.

Jerry wants to add more playoff teams so Jason can get more training.

And oh yea. So Jerry can make more money. There is that.

He was asked a hypothetical, he answered it. He wasn't lobbying for it. You people are either purposely acting stupid.... or

And I am no Jerry apologist.

they find any reason what so ever to bash Jerry...

Answering the hypothetical the way he did, ... "It just creates that much more excitement and that much more interest for people in those communities. So I fall on the side of the ledger that would increase the playoffs." ... was bad enough.

And one could see where maybe he was lobbying for it when he said, ... "From the standpoint of looking at how exciting it is for a city or a community to be involved in the playoffs and the fact that you can have a team that might have literally operated at .500 or in that area ... you can have that team win the Super Bowl," Jones said Friday on 105.3 The Fan. "That makes a big case for adding a couple of more cities or communities that have NFL teams to the playoffs."

Does the bolded part ring a bell? Or maybe three bells over the past three seasons?

If he wasn't lobbying for it, .. it is a thin line.

the true beauty of his statement is that, he is so stupid, he does not realize that we would not have made the playoffs even if 4 more teams were included

That idea is Solid Gold, Jerra.
Copy a memo to Stephen, let him look it over and let's get together over a pitcher of beer at your luxury box.
Dang, this Jerra is smart!!!! Can't wait for the 5-11 Cowboys to meet the 8-8 Saints next year.

I never wish horrible things on anybody....but he tasks me.
It is a waste of anyone's time to wish ill upon Jerry Jones. Untold multitudes of individuals have dreamed the worst ends for the man over the many years and he is still kicking. Strong.

Heck, all the ill will may be psychically strengthening the man's soul at some undetectable level. Perhaps all the evil thoughts people are broadcasting at Jones is doing the exact opposite of what folks hope for.

Now, that would be incredibly ironic if true.

He has no clue...none. It just goes to show you that with a little luck and some start up money, anyone can get rich because this guy is a disgrace to the game. He and the Cowboys have become the laughing stock of the NFL, a place once reserved for a teams like the Browns. I can't even include Arizona or the Bengals in there any longer.

Not if Jones could slant the tiebreakers in his favor.

Thank you, was just thinking along these lines. And it's not like it's been brought up before by others.
But that doesn't matter to people posting their "stuff"
