He was asked a hypothetical, he answered it. He wasn't lobbying for it. You people are either purposely acting stupid.... or

And I am no Jerry apologist.

It's about money and people can't help themselves but take shots at the man.

Stupidity and a bit of jealousy.

NFL has kicked around the idea of increasing the number of playoff teams for a while now. Jerry is asked a question and says he is in favor of that idea. CZ melts down.... again.

The only idea I heard that I even semi like is that add one more in each conference; and that way only the top team gets a bye.

they find any reason what so ever to bash Jerry...

yup

This is what seperates good loyal fan bases from the Cowboys. Then you watch Cowboy games on tv and you can understand why these great fan bases like GB, Pit basically overtake cowboys stadium. Eventhough theres 5times the Cowboy fans there.

I thought the mods were supposed to do something about trolls in threads on this type of stuff?

What a joke. Mediocre teams already sometimes make it into the playoffs. We don't need to allow 2 more per conference. In my opinion any team that can't do better than 8 and 8 doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs. You can't even manage a winning record? Then stay home. The change I would support would be to not allow 8 and 8 or worse teams into the post season. What I would change is this: If a division winner is 8 and 8 or worse, then that division isn't represented in the playoffs. Instead, an extra wildcard is added. Let some team go to the playoffs that has actually earned it. I remember one year when the Browns got in with an 8 and 8 record while the 11 and 5 Broncos stayed home. I remember thinking how ridiculous that was.

I could get on board with that. CANNOT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS WITHOUT A WINNING RECORD.

It is a waste of anyone's time to wish ill upon Jerry Jones. Untold multitudes of individuals have dreamed the worst ends for the man over the many years and he is still kicking. Strong.

Heck, all the ill will may be psychically strengthening the man's soul at some undetectable level. Perhaps all the evil thoughts people are broadcasting at Jones is doing the exact opposite of what folks hope for.

Now, that would be incredibly ironic if true.

I don't wish ill on Jerry Jones. I wish him nothing but good. And the good I wish on him is for him to fall madly in love with some beautiful young gal in Tahita and for him to marry her and sell the team and move to Tahiti and have a great life, never once again thinking about football.

Funny! Mrs. Jones would be the new owner then. Never mind selling the team.

Jason would be crushed too. This would completely mess up his homeschooling.

Now there's a JJ apologist!!

How so?

He was asked a question. He answered it.

The NFL has wanted to expand the regular season and expand the playoffs for some time now.

It's about money.

Every owner in the league would make more of it with more games being played. This is quite simple.

Some beautiful young girl, huh?

This is Jerry Jones.

If you were to ask Jonah Hill to find the beautiful young girl and have him tape wads of money to her chest a.k.a. The Wolf of Wall Street, you may have the beginnings of a plausible idea.

:)
