ESPN is laying off over a 100, so no, he did not do something special other than being there a long time and probably being paid too much.

The only thing I watch regularly is PTI, I have seen a segment or two on the "6" and can't buy into it.

I don't like Werder that much but the fact that guy is safe is indicative why I don't care what ESPN does. It is complete trash and has been for the last decade plus.

The only thing I watch regularly is PTI, I have seen a segment or two on the "6" and can't buy into it.

I haven't but I liked their old show, 86, His and Hers. They have a very strong chemistry with each other and it's very unlike the other debate shows where people disagree just to draw ratings.

Werder seems to be an extremely decent human being, and he has good access to Cowboys officials. But I haven't watched much ESPN in years. Too much trying to be cute, too much politics, etc. There are plenty of other, better choices for sports info. They lost their way, at least in my eyes.

ESPN is going to go the way of MySpace. They have lost over 11 million subscribers since 2011. About 10,000 subscribers a month. It's expected that between 50-70 employees will be fired.
